Interestingly my non-manual recording on BBC 1 HD (England) worked ok (and looks like it started/stopped at the right time, though haven't watched to the end yet). I wonder if the BBC fixed this data at the very last minute...

I think if the crids were present when you set the recording it will have worked OK. The problem would have been trying to set a recording after they went missing.
Just checked, the repeat on BBC3 Sat 29th now has a crid.
