I saw Madonna's new song/video today, 'Living for love'. It was very Paso themed - although this being Madonna with her gender bending ways, she took on the role of the matador. It could get used next series I suppose - or perhaps a tad too obvious to use now.
I don't mind this years Eurovision entrance - it's grown on me. Funnily enough I just heard it on radio 2 and the presenter suggested it for a Charleston. I just goggled to find out a bit about the group and came across this article. This journo at the guardian is really unimpressed with it
Not particularly recent, but the theme tune from Harry Potter films makes a great Viennese Waltz (tempo needs adjusting a little) and would offer good dressing up opportunities for Halloween night!
I hope, whatever they do, they don't try to cram any of Florence + The Machine's new singles (St. Jude, What Kind Of Man, Ship To Wreck) into dances; they're all brilliant, but none of them suit any dances on the show (barring a really, really minimalist Rumba/Foxtrot to St. Jude).
rhythm divine by enrique iglesias would make a great samba.
buster voodoo by rodrigo y gabriela for a paso doble. I find paso doble the hardest to find songs for but this song has a kind of spanish guitar/flamenco feel which would make a change from some of the poptastic pasos we get sometimes.
I like that song which is getting quite a lot of airplay at the moment on radio 2 'Shut up and dance' by Walk the moon, very catchy. Maybe too fast for a celeb but could be used in a pro routine.
Yes, I believe 'Enjoy the silence' was used on DWTS. Tanghetto are a perfect choice for a modern, edgy AT - it certainly beats something like 'Zorba the Greek'!

Somewhat wasted on Pamela Anderson (who always frustrated me; she was a 10/10 for performance, but a 6/10 for technique); imagine what a female ringer could do with the song!
I still can't believe they've never used "This Is Hallowe'en" from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Would make an epic tango or paso. And as hallowe'en is a Saturday this year it would be accurate lol
I have always thought the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' theme would make a great paso song, surprised its never been used really seeing as we have movie week
Game of Thrones theme song is another one that could be used for a paso
That song what just won Eurovision was basically every "generic Latin Showcase Pro Group Dance" except with better video graphics to make the thing seem interesting.
Eurovision week on strictly would be like my two favourite worlds colliding. Too many legitimately good songs this year though.
Wild Dances by Ruslana could make a very interestingly themed (read: utterly horrible) jive.
I think one of the european DWTS used a live version of teardrops by emmelie de forrest for a samba. The dance was kind of disappointing from what I remember tbh.
The producers could (COULD) I guess use our entry from this year as a charleston or a quickstep but the song should be fired from a cannon into the sun never to be heard again so let's hope that doesnt happen.
@olive J - The game of thrones theme would actually be a viennese waltz. Both of those songs have been used on dancing with the stars US - have a look on youtube. They're a bit overly committed to the theme imo!

Yes I had been thinking this too. I like it and would be good for a SCD Charleston.... very catchy

As soon as I heard it I thought the same, ;-)
(I didn't see Bill Turnbull's attempt at waltzing to the Stranglers' "Golden Brown")
Anything by Dave Brubeck - perhaps "Unsquare Dance" or "Blue Rondo A La Turk"?
"Mission Impossible Theme"
"Living in the Past" by Jethro Tull
For a Tango - Tony Bennett - Boulevard Of Broken Dreams:

For a Foxtrot - Manhattan Transfer - A Gal In Calico (might be just a touch too fast though):

I think i prefer the 1959 version myself.
Could be used for a Strictly CCC or a Burn the Floor pro dance.

Song about humanity's journey from Africa to the stars. Could be a Samba/Zulu dancing mix as a showdance.

Val and zendaya used it on DWTS and it made for a fab performance.
Americano by lady gaga would be good for a poppy one too, it has that dramatic latiny aspect to it.
