Thomson DTI6300 to record Sky

Hi, have seen the above on offer in Tesco at £89, and as my current hard disc recorder has packed in was considering getting one. However the back of the unit has two Scart sockets - one labled "TV Scart" and the other "VCR Scart". Is the VCR Scart an input? i.e can I connect the output of my Sky box to it and use the Thomson to record the Sky box output?

Thanks in advance for any answers

simple answer,no,it records only from it's own tv signal.
Possibly you are looking for a dvd recorder with hard drive?rather than a pvr.

Yes...guess that's what I'll have to go for. Are the ones with Freeview tuners locked in to their own signals too?

a dvd recorder will record to the hard drive from freeview tv,from satellite and other sources too.
the dvd recorders, disc only, without hard drive, will also give the same recording options satellite, freeview etc..
