I'd have preferred to see Kuyt instead of Henderson from the start but other than that no problems with the line up, options coming off the bench too if needs must

If Henderson is on the right and up against Baines; I can see that being a waste of time tbh. He just doesn't do enough to keep Baines quiet.

I'm also a little bit gutted for Enrique. Hope Carra & Agger have enough match sharpness about them....and don't caught out and concede a pen!

It's also just dawned on me how stupid a 12.30 K.O time is for a semi-final is...and how stupid a TV channel ESPN are grrrrrr.

Personally I would have gone with Enrique at LB. Agger is more than capable of doing a job there, but we'll end up dropping deep with Carragher in the side and he doesn't tend to have a positive influence on Skrtel

and why play Henderson on the right wing again ? He had a good game vs. Blackburn, but can anyone actually name a good game he's played at RW ? Maxi, Kuyt or Bellamy would have all been better options

    Jones worries me too

Not feeling confident, but hoping the red men prove me wrong

I think he'll have Gerrard on the right, if he sticks Hendo there then it'll be repeat of the Carling Cup and Hendo will be useless due to no fault of his own.

Hmmm.... Would rather have seen our first choice back 4 playing to be honest, especially without Reina and Lucas available.

Henderson needs to step up today as well. Hopefully Carroll can continue his recent signs of improvement and hopefully all the players have been reminded the aim is to get it between the posts and not hit them.

Really don't know why carragher plays when Agger and skrtel are fit. Really hope Gerrard isn't found too deep. He ain't no centre midfield player.

We need Gerrard to push forward like the league game at Anfield, but he won't have much cover behind him if he does, so we'll probably end up seeing him sitting deep for the majority of the game

I wanted Carroll to start, but maybe it would have been better to play Bellamy or Kuyt, who would be able to form a 5 man midfield when needed

    Webb gets involved already!

Good work from Carroll - he looks sharp in the early stages.

Evertons dogged but limited midfield pairing getting the better of us so far. Need to get the ball wide as much as we can.

No great quality to the game so far but it's been well worth a watch for the commitment.

Carra thanks for all the years but please retire at the end of the season.

They probably won't look like scoring for the rest of the game but we've gift wrapped a goal for another side this season.
