Oh Sarah, I adore this one - it's the only rumba I could watch time and time again. It's one of my wedding songs as well, my dad walked me down the aisle (well, figuratively speaking as we didn't get married in a church) to this and it always brings a happy tear to my eye.
Good morning Lou . How funny, I got married in church and this was my first dance song, Really love this song. Once when I was I watching it, my hubs was just next to me and I told him, if only you had danced like Vincent and his reply, sad you didn't dance like Rachel, just walked into it.:D
I would pick this as my perfect dance, everything came together.
The more I watch, more I love it.
Happy memories, my friend:). Long may they continue.:)

Thank you Sarah, what a lovely post, my morning has improved considerably
Our first dance was to Pure by the Lightning Seeds - it was a bit fast and I had consumed a few glasses of fizz. Thankfully I stayed upright
Ola doesn't get much credit as a choreographer, but I think she was actually quite good - if you take into account the potential of her partners, lack of training times and themes she had to work around.
Steve - Choreographing a Paso to a Rumba song - because they were Steve's favourites. She did advise dancing with less aggression, and Steve agreed that it was better that way - but that was in training. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8JyScvch4E
I know I'm being a pedantic, grumpy bugger (hey - why change?) but I think the word "forgotten" from the thread title has been "forgotten" in many posts.
Chelsee and Pasha's rumba - the only rumba I have ever liked and it was the first time I saw the rumba and 'got' it. It was their last dance and so it was just glossed over as Harry won (Chelsee woz robbed!)
Ali Bastian -with her slightly drippy, goody-two shoes personna- plus her slightly weirdly controlling partner Brian Fortuna get pretty overlooked, but I re-watch their fabulously kooky Charleston every year.

That song has reminded me of Gleb and Anita's a Charleston last year, which was a greatly entertaining and very ambitious routine - perhaps a little forgotten about because it was all the way back in week 2 - https://youtube.com/watch?v=UlvOSzubLzM

Loved their Charleston (and I really liked drippy Ali at the time, too ). You set me off re-watching some of their other dances and that, in turn, lead me to Ricky and Natalie's fantastic Quickstep. I'd forgotten what a lovely ballroom dancer he was. Looked great in his tails, too.

I also love Rachel's Rumba and Tom's showdance, wonder if he wasn't in the lead on the public vote until the freestyle?
We know, due to the right Horlicks of the semi final, emergency phone calls to Strictly Towers and frantic scribbling on the back of cigarette packets that Tom was leading the public vote from at least the semi final - and as the votes were carried across I'd guess he was never out of the lead.
Liked all of these 'forgotten' dances from previous series for different reasons.
I really liked Aliona and Matthew Cutler as dancers and choreographers.
Erin was so patient with Julian Clary, and though he wasn't the best dancer, she brought out the best in him and he tried so hard.
It wouldn't let me multiquote any more, but I also liked
Vincent and Rachel's Christmas Show rumba - so very graceful - though perhaps that's not a 'forgotten' dance
Vincent and Louisa's jive - he was so patient with such a young celebrity
Also liked Ashley Taylor Dawson and Ola's cowboy Paso - wasn't the biggest fan of Ola's choreography, but she did a good job there with a difficult theme and a very tired celebrity (as he was coping with Hollyoaks and a new baby).

A cowboy Paso - tricky theme to have to choreograph to.

Chris - in the absence of dance ability, go for entertainment.

Craig, Len and Bruno gave 10s, but Alesha (in her first year as judge) rather sourly said she didn't like it and gave a 9.
Mark and Iveta's first ever dance - Tango (Jewel thieves)
Now THAT is how to use a prop !!!!

Well yes I agree, but its a general topic and people can also highlight their favourite dances.
