By the way Ukip is likely to get 50% of the Clacton vote; yet probably only 5% of the Clacton question time audience of the same evening.. Appalling.

Do you have issues nearly every post you do has "BBC this" and "BBC that" in it?

It's not the content. It's the audience!!!

Who decides the audience - the BBC. Every audience for QT is oversubscribed.

And that audience was certainly not representative of Clacton.

We see em walk in. The audience was not even representative of Essex let alone Clacton.

Perhaps they were all shipped in from Saffron Walden - and Ugley!:D

Apparently only a couple of audience members were voting UKIP and only one wanted to cut foreign aid? In Essex?:o

And believe me as an Essex man I am quite left wing for the county!:D

QT is biased in favour of institutional status quo and toward generating entertainment.

Some weeks the left come out looking better, some weeks the right come out looking better. I don't think what's said really matters any more.

    I haven't watched it for 2 years+

It's a dreadful shambles. You get too many of the same faces, not enough of the right people, and some of their 'celebrity' voices are just idiotic. Whether it's Janet Street Porter representing the right or Russell Brand representing the left you don't get good quality political discussion, you just produce televisual rubbish.

So the white working-class was severely under-represented on QT?

    I'm shocked, shocked!

It is representative of the people that applied for tickets, simples.

It's probably more a case of basing allocation of the previous votes (so therefore UKIP were oversubscribed).

QT/BBC were the ones that had the balls to allow the BNP a place on the penal which IMO was the start of the downfall of the BNP - give them exposure - let them hang themselves! And at the time they got a lot of hassle for doing so - but their judgement was right.

I am in no way saying UKIP are like the BNP - far from it.

My point is this, you will now see a much stronger representation of UKIP in the future on QT and BBC output. Sunday Politics already has a Nigel Farage interview booked in.

The BBC are slightly left-wing, but they are fair with it.

Only people over 55 still watch the BBC Question time.

I think its all netflixs nowadays and "House of Cards" when it comes to politics
Its incredibly biased into making you think "only bad people get on in politics"

What we need is more series about how wonderful politics is - a sort of "Its a wonderful Life" at Westminster or "The Constituencies are alive with the sound of music"

If politicians hadn't behaved badly in the first place, this issue would never have arisen, so they won't be getting any sympathy from me...

Agreed, it was a joke. It's been a joke for some time now, as has Dimbleby's ability to chair it.

So the BBC is biased on the basis of Question Time... which isn't even made by the BBC.

The loonie left are a lot more politically active. They love spouting their inane scaremongering drivel and inflicting it on a larger audience. Hence they tend to apply to go on programs such as QT, and the bbc are all too willing to accommodate them.

And why not? The left (they're not all "loonies") deserve representation as much as any other group.

    Agreed.

The problem is they (Some of them) have an tendency towards seeking to deny that representation for those they deem unworthy.

Labour, Tory, UKIP, Lib Dem, Green - All of them have supporters who can be considered loony.

Frankly there is nothing more tedious than the vapid partisan bickering we constantly see on here and that the vast majority of posters take part in.

It's a disproportionate representation, QT last being a prime example.

Question Time is produced by a former communist. He probably regards Harriet Harman as right wing. Hence the audience seems to be 90% Labour supporters every week.

It's a national programme. It should be representative of the UK, not of Clacton or Essex.
