Dermot O'Neill (Grandad) isn't related to the O'Carrolls.

Oh ok - I did read it somewhere but the site obviously gave wrong info, I'll stand corrected.:)

Anyone know who's the RL parents of little Bono? Just curious.

So I see, thanks. I was probably confusing it with the fact that, fictionally, Grandad is Mrs Brown's father-in-law.

I love the show, but some of the acting is pretty ropey.

    Namely -

    Trevor
    Professor Clowne from series 2
    Lala Doggy
Cathy's boyfriend Mick (How did he end up back with him after he was exposed by Maria as being married??)

The rest of them are brilliant, especially as nearly all of them have had no acting experience before Mrs Brown.

I'm sorry, I have got to add Betty to that. I don't believe she can act at all. Just MHO.:o

I don't know why, but I don't mind that they can't act. It kind of adds to it for me.

Interesting that he speaks in Betty's Donegal accent and not Buster's Dublin one.....I'm presuming he must have been raised there and not in the capital.

According to Mick on his return, he was separated at the time he was dating Cathy but never got the chance to explain or something.....(maybe he felt awkward because apparently he has young children).

I found Lala Doggy hilarious the other night though....very ascerbic and bitchy :D

I was wondering what part her accent was from, now I know.
My late Grandparents & half my Aunts/Uncles were from Wexford mainly, a few from Waterford. I'm ashamed I've never been to Ireland ( or Scotland/Northern Britain) but have been abroad many times.:o

This has to be the worst 'comedy' ever since the last worst comedy ever.

Laugh? You're joking. You couldn't pay me enough money to watch that tripe. :D

No one's paying me, so I don't watch it. :)

I purchased the Series 3 DVD and yet again, the distributors have decided not to include the two part Christmas special.

Those of us who purchased all three series separately continue to be ripped off. I suspect the 2012 Christmas special will once again only be included in a complete boxset?
