I went for an atos medical about a month ago, haven't heard anything till I came home this afternoon and there was two messages on my answer machine from the esa department. The man said he had tried to phone me and couldn't get a hold of me so he would send me a letter. Worried sick! I'm already on the work support group.

Yes I will give them a phone in the morning. They never left a number, but ill just phone local job centre and ask to put me through to that department. Thanks. X

Well! After spending about 3 hours trying to phone my local job centre. Being put through to uk switchboards and being spoken to like a bit of ****! From one wrong department to another. I was finally told I had failed my atos medical and they were sending me a letter. Never did get through to the local job centre. I give up!!! What a total joke

That is exactly the route to take, Fiona72, because getting experienced help like that can effectively double the appeal success rate. In addition, I would suggest getting up to date additional statements supporting your appeal case from your GP/consultant (in some cases, a GP might charge for this service) so that you present new information including any written statement from you about how your health issues adversely affect your life.

Good luck with your appeal Fiona. if you are claiming HB/CTB make sure the local council know you're appealing the decision as otherwise that might get cut off.

Have they moved you from the support group to WRAG, or have they said you're able to work and therefore aren't ellgible for ESA?

They weren't very clear on the phone. They said I would receive a letter.. I'm sure she said my esa has been stopped as from yesterday. Could even accept it if they put me on the WRAG group but to go from the support group to nothing is awful! Bunch of flamin animals!! Fumin.

You need to wait for the letter to find out exactly where you stand. There may not be much point in seeing CAB until it arrives.
