Hmmm. Quite literally taking the ball and going home! I think we have had more than enough petulance from people quitting things just because THEY don't like it.
A corrupt organisation of overpaid bureaucrats which we pay a lot of money into and get nothing back for.
Should we leave, seeing as we want to leave the Euros anyway?
I dunno if we as tax payers pay into it or just those who pay to watch football ie tickets and sport tv subsscriptions?
Getting back to the point, I'm hoping we do get out of UEFA, then we can avoid this sort of farce in the future. Let's leave the Champions league and the European championships to the Europeans and get control back of our own football rules.
Who would England play then? They can't join the Copa America.

I suspect that if we left UEFA, FIFA would then subsequently withdraw whatever permission or requirements are needed for England to play internationally full stop.
You'd also likely get a host of top clubs who would likely then want to break away from the premiership to ensure they could still compete in the Champions League as well.

This is just scaremongering. Clubs would be able to negotiate their own international matches

Is "scaremongering" the new "in" word now then ?
League clubs would not be able to negotiate international matches because they'd still have to be sanctioned by UEFA and/or FIFA. Even exhibition matches need to be sanctioned.
England, Wales, NI and ROI suck and the results prove that. Wales will be next on the plane home.
The same Wales who topped their group and have won all their matches so far apart from the England game and are currently still in the tournament and are through to the Quarter Finals?
Yes they suck big time despite them getting further than anyone anticipated at the start of the tournament.

They actually can, but only if they are invited. Japan were invited in 1999, and its also the only reason Mexico and USA participate on a regular basis. I'm guessing that CONMEBOL did this because they thought it best to allow teams from other confederations to join, rather than allow Suriname and Guyana to play who would get trounced in every game.
I hope we one day get invited to take part in the OFC' Nations Cup, as I reckon we could take that one now that Australia have switched to the Asian confederation... and if New Zealand got about 6 injuries to key players.

Ooh I dunno. I think I'd rather settle for Jimmy Krankie vetoing the result.

Do they have to play anyone?
So you don't want the England team to play football anymore?
I can't honestly blame you after last night but I find that rather bizarre to be honest.

I'm irish and I was supporting England. However I was delighted for Iceland not because I despise England but because they truly deserved it.
A team of semi pros showed more pride and heart than a bunch of millionaires.
France should be worried

You're at the wind up....right?
I'm not sure they do right now. Falling over, swinging at a bag of wind.
Yeah just think, it could have been Scotland getting knocked out ... ... had they qualified.
At being utterly shit.
At least you got there!
I'm not sure that's right, but I agree with the rest of your post.
England are petitioning for a 2nd match
I'm honestly never 100% sure on here!
