Channel 5 have confirmed today just when the Big Brother 2014 is, with Big Brother UK ending on August 15.

Channel 5 announced just moments about Big Brother: The Live Final will air on Friday 15th August at 9pm on Channel 5

It means that there’s just over a week left in the show with eight housemates currently remaining.

Two will be booted out in this Friday’s double eviction, with Chris, Christopher, Mark, Pav and Winston all up for eviction.

It means that Ashleigh and Ash have both made it to the final week, while of course Helen Wood is guaranteed a spot in the final.

As it stands the housemates are fighting it out for a prize worth £110,500, which could rise even further with this weeks’ Power of Money twist.

Who do you want to win?

Big Brother will be followed by Celebrity Big Brother 2014.

That will kick off with the Celebrity Big Brother: Live Launch, Monday 18th August at 9pm on Channel 5.

Why the hell did they not do this for the current series? Civilian BB needs live feed much more than CBB does...it beggars belief.

I wonder if those missing 9 hours of live feed promised by Ben Frow was for the celebrity series? Even one hour of daily feed is a start.......

Hopefully Channel 5/Endemol are beginning to learn from their dreadful mistakes made this year, though I have learned never to trust them.

They won't be able to do it 7 nights a week unfortunately due to contractual obligations with Supercasino which starts earlier on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. And there's no Bit On The Side on Sundays.

So I expect an hour on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be standard with a further 45 minutes on eviction nights.

That's still 3 hours 45 minutes more per week than has been the case so far this summer.

Late night live feed for CBB sadly, is usually a complete washout, since they usually all go to bed early. Even the continuity announcers end up taking the piss with stuff like "Prepare yourself for strong language, possible nudity and snoring".

If it's true it's a step in the right direction imo. Baby steps etc...

We'll never be happy I suppose but at least it's something.

Frow did mention that a little live feed could be available for CBB in an earlier response
so this isn't unexpected by many of us
its just how 'little' it turns out to be…...

...and remember folks, this series still has 9 hours of live feed that they promised to us and then just took away and refused to answer any emails about.

Well quite. So we can't even trust them to deliver what they promised in the first place.

    Remember that they dropped the BB14 7.00 p.m. - 9.00 p.m. LF before giving us the Midnight - 2.00 a.m. internet-only slot.

So I'd be willing to bet they'll drop this CBB LF after a while too.

You will never get 24 hour live feed again, to continue to complain about it 5 years after it was axed is pointless, enjoy what we're getting or move on.

    I agree.
    Better than nothing.
Last year we got two hours per night, nobody complained then.

Though, it would of been better for Civilian Big Brother.

At least we get a decent amount, than a measly half hour a week.

    Better late than never.
    Better less than none.

Honestly, some people are very ungrateful.

(Imagine if we had live feed for CBB13, THE HEAVEN!)

They axed BB14 7 - 9 Live feed, as it got really low ratings. I could see why.

They put it on, during the worst two hours, with competitions with soaps, like EastEnders and Coronation Street, both of which get more viewers than Big Brother.
    That was a no brainer.

Also, I watched 7-9 Live feed, last year.
    It was boring.

All we saw was them having dinner, and Wolfy and Jack and Joe playing up to the cameras around the dining table.

Night live feed was much better, and they should of had it in the first place, rather than evening.

Plus, many viewers dislike BB15, and are waiting for CBB to start.
Presuming CBB has a decent line up, I can see the ratings being decent, due to success of last CBB.

The live updates seem to stop as if by magic by 2-am.
Remember we used to think that they were told to go to bed at that time because one by one they would head of to bed.

    Zebedee...........................Time for bed.

Well I'm glad as it's a tiny step in the right direction. That extra hour will probably create another 30+ new threads that wouldn't be there without the feed. This series having 1 hr a night... the forum would have been more exciting.

If it's anywhere as good as CBB13 or CBB9/CBB10, I will be rejoicing especially with the extra hour.

The 7-9 feed last year was axed because of low ratings due to nothing much happening, the night live feed was so much better with us catching a few rows and the lead up to the Daley/Hazel incident, remember the feed of them speaking in the shower and Daley was drunk? I remember everyone getting worried for Hazel on here, DS was brilliant reading that night.

40-odd mins of live feed isn't much, once you take in the inevitable ads, but it's better than nothing.

I don't believe for one second that they will all be in bed each night, but even so, a lot has happened in the bedroom of the current BB series, so it might not be as dull as some suggest. ;-):p:blush:

In fact, the only downside I can see is that I'll have to watch the entirety of SOTS each night.
