I do know that Johnny Cash's family farm was flooded on two occasions which reportedly inspired him to write the song "Five Feet High and Rising" and it is also reported that his families economic and personal struggles during the great depression also inspired many of his songs.
We also know that Johnny Cash was in prison 7 times,
One occasion when he was arrested Cash said inspired the song 'Starkville City Jail'.
Who knows who he met in prison that inspired him to write that particular lyric about watching someone die, however he fact is Songwriters are inspired by their life experiences.
He still didn't shoot a man in Reno to watch him die, though, did he? Tying potential criminal behaviour into lyrics would make many songwriters potential criminals, as it would a fair few dodgy, self-obsessed poets.
I suppose if they both said nothing sexual had happened, and she said that she travelled to France of her own accord without pressure, and he just gave her a lift....?
Exactly.
Whilst many may have their suspicions and assumptions around what has actually happened between these two - to bring charges and make a successful prosecution, will require proof.
Its no good saying "of course he will......" or "its obvious he has...."
How times have changed. I can't image my maths teacher having such an awful tattoo, and then showing it off on the Internet. Mind you, my maths teacher was a 4 ft welsh woman in her 50s who ruled her class with a rod of iron! She never once thought about writing songs about her 'feelings'
Also, if she doesn't co-operate with the police, that would make conviction less likely.
I was thinking this too but I felt silly asking ...does it make any difference though? If they come back and she point blank refuses to give any information ,will only says she loves him .I doubt it will make any difference to the pressing of charges?

That wont stand up in a court of law.
If he has done nothing wrong, why have they done a bunk?
If he has done nothing wrong, why have they done a bunk?
That doesnt count as evidence really. Certainly not evidence that would stand up in court. I am in two minds about this, yes the guy has committed a crime and abused his position of trust but is it a serious enough crime to warrant the amount of media attention it has recieved?
"I was afraid someone would catch us,
as the seasons change I took on someone elses skin
and cuts so deep it scared
I was afraid someone would catch me
my hands around your neck, your face turned blue,
but in the darkest hour I feel that I'm holding back a smile,
I guess that death will do us part
I swear I will end this,
if all these shits keep running their mouth
the blood comes easy when i squeeze it out
the stains on the carpet means that I will never forget
that you are all alone, especially when your heart is dead
I was afarid someone would find you,
as we turn out backs and text each other our goodbyes,
i still can't look away.
I was afraid that someday I would lose you.
that does not change the way i feel
as the tears would fall, the blood still turning through his veins, my heart still sings your name.
I swear I will end this if all these shits keep running their mouths.
The blood will come easy, I squeeze it out.
The stains on the carpet mean I will never forget
that you are all alone especially when your heart is dead
How many seconds do u need,
no status updates, knowing mine will change.
im sorry i feel so angry I need someone to blame but me.
Bearing in mind his own dad has said that he is worried that he will 'flip' and this is the contents of this mans morbid mind.
Irrespective of whether he is convicted or not (but I think it more likely he will) he's still ruined his life.
That's just hyperbole.
Things will certainly change for him, but you cant judge that somebody has ruined their life until after the fact (and unless there is evidence to the contrary - his "life" isn't over - yet).

He will most certainly never teach or hold a position of responcibility again.. Which rules him out of any professional career.

The media are into this because there is a public appetite and they want to sell papers. Also, we are on here doing the same.

I suppose that unless he can prove he personally had the consent of her legal guradians to take her out of the country and keep her whereabouts secret from them, whatever the wishs of the minor, then adulation it is.
I really hope that Megan and/or Jeremy do at least contact someone pretty soon just to let them know they are alright. I have no personal relationship to either of them but I do feel a tad concerned so can't imagine the stress their actual close friends or family must probably be going through. In addition, at least if they make contact, it might stop this thread turning into something that belongs on the DavidIcke board. All this analyzing is just a smidgen over-the-top. Incidentally, I think that tattoo looks a little bit like an anime version of his wife and nothing at all like Megan.

Or a "reasonable excuse" for not having it (that's just the wording of the law - i'm not suggesting he has one)
Speaking from his home in Kent, Jim Forrest told reporters his son was "a gentle and caring" man who was extremely vulnerable.
"I am worried about Jeremy. I am not worried about Megan. I can tell you my son is one of the most gentle, caring people you will ever meet. I worry for him more than Megan in case he flips."
Seems an odd thing to say, maybe he should'nt of said anything at all
He wont be able to hold a position of responsibility in any profession - really?
Does not having a professional career count as having ruined your life?
There are plenty of career choices available - even to people with a criminal record.
I suppose it depends what he saw his life as being. The fact that he went to Uni, got a position of responsibility and got married suggests that he wanted a certain status and standard of living that life on the run from Interpol wasn't factored in to.
Teaching is out for him out whatever happens. I can't imagine a job in law enforcement would be an option. Depending on what happens with regard to any sex offenders register other doors would be closed too.
I don't think it's enhanced his career prospects, put it that way.
if he is a first time offender, if they can't ascertain if they had sex (she may just say no if they have) and there was no force involved in taking her, then I can't see a sentence (if there is one) of more than 2-3 years. Which means he would be out in around 12 months.
If he pled guilty to abduction, which I imagine he would, there's a small chance that the sentence would be non custodial
Hmm, without looking into the relevant law and sentencing recommendation, I have to say those comments, particularly the latter one, caused my eyebrow to raise.
How have the papers got hold of text messages between the two?
And I thought his Twitter account had been closed down so how did they get his tattoo photos?
Apparently there's a message written on the arm, but is is unreadable on this photo.
Is it the same tattoo? Where are the flowers in the first pic, or is that a later stage picture?
Re: the text messages. I haven't been glued to reports, but I thought most of the stuff being quoted was from Mr Forrest's blog (and possibly his Twitter account before it was pulled?).

I see you have totally missed the point I was making.
Prosecution Lawyer - "Why did you run away if you haven't done anything wrong?"
Judge - "Guilty as charged - off with his head!"
Fancied a holiday?

You're really gonna try that?
Is she considered good looking? She reminds me a little of Jade Goody.
Well - there is a syndrome named after it.....;)
