I remember one from Valve when they claimed to be adding gun jams into a Counter-Strike: Source update to add a greater sense of realism and water damage making your knife less effective.

It was delivered as a system message so everyone who attempted to play the game that day got it. The forums were hilarious with people complaining.

The Golf Club by HB Devs - Build 3.41

A comical performance yesterday from the HB chaps. This when they launched what seemed to be a genuinely legitimate 'new and improved' build for Beta testers. Legitimate that is until they started playing it! It promptly caused light meltdown for some of the gimmick loathing, simulation loving Beta guys and other members on the Golf Club forums. I was particularly amused with the hideously thrown in Game-pad QTE prompts mid ball flight! Quality performance HB! Proper full LOL!

Iwata announcing the end for Wii U think it was on N4G. Actually believed it for a split second even had a fake shareholders letter.
