Oddly enough, I'm looking forward to Ed Ball's rebuttal most of all. And then George's re-rebuttal. I suspect Bercow will have his hands full when the reduction in the 50p rate is announced.

No's 2-5-9-11-13-17-19-24 so long as I can define what is and what is not a "death stare". :)

Bercow is a smug self-satisfied man. His self-indulgent speech yesterday was a prime example.

Thanks but yuck. Fawning and oily.

I didn't get the kaleidoscope ("a kaleidoscope Queen of a kaleidoscope country in a kaleidoscope Commonwealth") reference at all, and I'll bet neither Brenda nor Phil did either.
It's so out there that it wouldn't surprise me if Bercow got a visit from the drugs squad.

Someone should have told Vince Cable he had half of his breakfast stuck on his lip - or is he getting down with the kids and had a piercing? :D

re-cap - after Chancellor speech - it is the Leader of the Opposition party who replies to the Budget speech, not the shadow chancellor.

Surely by now you all realise this?

I wondered yesterday why only Miliband had his wife with him for the Queen's Speech.
