Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe says Jimmy Savile has been victimised by people and he was not a paedophile, according to The Sun. Sutcliffe got to know Savile well in Broadmoor, where the DJ worked voluntarily. Sutcliffe says Savile may have kissed a few girls but that's as far as it went.

If there was ever a man you would want on your side in these matters, it's the Yorkshire Ripper.

    High praise indeed.

Will Ian Brady wade in next week?

    ...and Ian Huntley.

Blimey, as if anyone gives a flying wotsit about the 'opinion' of Sutcliffe.

Now THAT was funny. But it would have been funnier if you had left the rolly eyes icon out.

Who actually cares what this fat, old raping murderer with one eye thinks, who actually would take his words on board and consider them to be the gospel truth?

"Sutcliffe has stated that Savile was a nice fellow, oh this must be true then let's put his grave back and withdraw all charges against him and cancell any future investigations, Sutcliffe has spoken and that's the end of it!"

The fact that Savile gave this cretin the time of day is enough to suspect that Savile was a twonk

I'm still a bit flummoxed from learning that Sutcliffe killed one of his victims at the back of Jimmy Saviles property! It's a weird coincidence.

It goes to show security is still a problem at Broadmoor. If this is a staff member who has taped and given/sold the recording to The Sun then they should be immediately suspended.

This isn't whistleblowing , its not worthy news , its a flagrant breach of security for the purposes of a sensationalist tabloid headline.

She was killed in Roundhay Park, Leeds which is nearby the block where Saville had a flat, and thousands of others do to . I think we could actually blur the lines if we start to look for things that arent really there.

So his character witnesses so far are Gary Glitter, Jonathon King and the Yorkshire Ripper? Who could imagine a finer bunch to testify in your defense in court?

As anyone told the police investigation team on 'Jimmy Savile and Others' that Peter Sutcliffe aka the Yorkshire Ripper says Jimmy was okay cos otherwise they might be working for nothing they can pack up and go home and have a nice Christmas.

    Anyone got their number.
