I don't see her as intelligent. She is clever and manipulative in one area only...charming people for gain or aproval. I noticed that any conversation outside of her own area of expertise flumoxed her and her answers were a little bizzare or she got stuck for an answer.

i don't think they wouldn't have gave two ****s as long as she wasn't getting plundered by men for her job like an actual pornstar.. as long as the two of them thought they could sleep with her and then bounced back to the states they would have done it...why do you think they where dangling little things about their lives in front of her face ? taking her away from her boyfriend to do it just boosts their already massive ego's.

Several people at the time said that they felt she knew exactly what the word "articulate" meant, but she was trying to stroke Julian's ego by playing "the dumb glamma model" and having him explain the "big words" to her. It actually felt contrived at the time. Would have seemed more genuine coming from Rhian.
Danica knows full well her usual "charms" don't work on Julian (particularly as he's gay), so she's intelligent enough to find another way to get him to be protective towards her.
She's very well spoken and has a decent vocablurary. I'd be shocked if she didn't know what the word was. If anything, the "articulate" incident highlights just how smart she is. Julian likes to think he's the wittiest brainbox around, so making him feel more intelligent than her is the tactical way to get him onside.

How on earth did a woman with this much potential end up as such a low-rent, cynical character? With her looks, smarts and personality, she could have made so much more of herself. Instead of being a Babestation "rinser".
I think Danica is actually a genuinely lovely person as well as being a great hm, but i do think you make some fair points.
She does have almost everything a woman could want to have, so she could defefinately have done something different from what she's done so far.
However, she's still young with plenty of time to make some serious decision on whhat she wants to do with her life and where she wants to go.
At the moment she seems to be just another young woman out to enjoy herself as much as possible and earn as much as she can so she can enjoy the good things in life that she obviously wants. Personally, i don't have a problem with that attitude.
I think she has great potential and has something a bit different about her, and this could be the start of something new and better for her.:)

•Emotional lability; shallowness
•Make-up; physical appearance is used to draw attention to self

People with HPD are usually able to function at high levels and can be successful socially and professionally. They usually have good social skills, though they tend to use these skills to manipulate other people and become the center of attention. Furthermore, histrionic personality disorder may affect a person's social or romantic relationships and their ability to cope with losses or failures. They may seek treatment for depression when romantic relationships end.
Individuals with HPD often fail to see their own personal situation realistically and instead dramatize and exaggerate their difficulties. They may go through frequent job changes, as they become easily bored and have trouble dealing with frustration. Because they tend to crave novelty and excitement, they may place themselves in risky situations. All of these factors may lead to greater risk of developing depression. [

Most people have zero idea what a personality disorder actually looks like. There's a world of difference between someone who's just unlikeable and an actual sociopath. Or someone who's mildly disordered and someone worth a diagnosis. Everyone's an armchair psychologist in here.
I actually DO know what I'm talking about. And any credible professional would laugh out loud at the idea that Danica had a mental illness. She seemed incredibly level headed, demonstrated appropriate emotion, showed care for others, and displayed emotional intelligence by the usual markers. Doesn't mean there's no backstory to explain her need for male approval, but most of us have some dysfunction somewhere.
Ironic that there are CRAZY suggestions in this thread. Equating excessive flirting (and that was her only 'symptom') with mental illness is just a shade too 'Witch Trials' for me, where any woman who didn't fit the mould was accused of being a witch. This thread interests me more from THAT side of understanding human nature...the need to persecute or label what we don't understand just cos WE PERSONALLY don't understand it. Danica was never a mystery to me or an affront to my rigid value system ergo I see her as sane.
