Phew.:D Just hope from his Q & A session on the OS Will doesn't think we all want jazz standards over his own material. Give me his own songs any day.
I had the pleasure of seeing Will at the 606 . It's not heavy jazz, more pop songs with a jazzy twist. H'es amazing live when he has free reign to improvise but not so sure it would work so well on a CD anyway. I just want new music from him. I was pleased whenBiff Stannard remarked that his voice was even better on this current album.;)
Oooh, must have missed that comment from Biff. Have to say though that his voice was incredible on tour this summer, best I've ever heard him, and that's pretty impressive

Lucky you! I've applied each time he announced a gig there but never wasn't allocated any tickets I hope he does many more there so that I eventually make it!

Me neither. But I did get to see him sing at Ronnie Scott's courtesy of a friend of mine who got one too many tickets! Brilliant gig and such a small place that everyone could see and hear him perfectly. I loved him singing Strange (Sade) and Summertime (Gershwin).
Actually I love the acting. I always did prefer film/TV to music so I have the best of both worlds with Will.
And don't forget that he is on Marple on Sunday in The Mirror Crack'd From Side to Side, playing (as the Radio Times puts it) a very camp Pharoah!
I don't care how camp his Pharoah is, he still looks a mighty fine looking one! this is just a cameo role isn't it? Bedlam is a much lengthier role to look forward to and then it's a new music album from Will.
I'm a bit concerned about album promo tbh. If he releases in Spring/Summer there aren't many TVshows to perform on.
We just have to hope he makes the radio playlists this time, although I'm not even thinking about Radio One or Capital because I'm pretty sure they won't play him no matter how good his lead single might be , I thought they might have playlisted History because of the great feedback that got, but they didn't
It's hard to say what his radio play will be on the next release. It's more of a dance/80's sound from what he was saying on the Ruth Jones thing the other night so I guess it could change the demographic for radio play.
Thanks for the Miss Marple tip, hadn't realised that was on - bad fan
Just watched and I think he did really well, not particularly camp and totally in keeping with the style of the programme. Very good adaptation and Julia McKenzie very believable I thought.
But I still want new music asap! Should be the Shapeshifters collaboration we hear first I think. It was said the release would be this month but I'm not aware of any further info.

According to the Shapeshifters, it's been pushed back until the spring.

Can't come soon enough!
Having said that, hasn't he got a collaboration coming up soon - can't remember who with but I do remember reading something about it a while ago.

I expect it will be funny. I know the story for this one so won't be so bogged down as I was for The Blue Geranium!
Anyone know when Bedlam will be on? Not that I can see it as I don't have Sky!
A camp pharoah sounds fine to me I'm just thinking of the eyeliner - yum!

There's no release date planned as yet, but he said all was going well and it could potentially be out before summer.
