I don't see the problem but just checking if i have missed anything, From what I can tell it seems okay to use a DSL lead with an ADSL filter to convert the RJ11 tip to a UK phone socket tip.

If you plug it into an extension socket that is connected to a filtered master socket faceplate then that isn't a problem. If you do have broadband without a filtered master socket then you either need to plug the filter you are using as an adapter into another filter or obtain an RJ11 adapter and plug that into the phone socket of a filter.

New BT Openreach Master Sockets (2013 / 14 installs onwards roughly) have the filter (PSTN telephone line vs. Broadband) at the wall box.
You can use an old ADSL filter as a replacement after the master socket - plugging this into the 431A telephone socket part of the wall master socket.
In fact, since the filtering has already occurred, this can even be a telephone splitter - both the 'normal phone socket' (BT 431A) port of the filter and the RJ11 'broadband' port also.
No interference with broadband operation - that's taken care of way before this point - at the wall!
