I was looking to upgrade to the 1TB box as my HD box has been playing up.
when looking at the small print, I saw this, any idea why?
" 1TB box available until 27 September 2012"
if it's being called the 2TB box, that's gonna cause some confusion when the end-user doesn't get 2TB personal space.
As i posted in another thread earlier, it hasn't been given a model number as of yet, all we know is that it is becoming available on the 28th and has a 2TB HDD in it. No drx--- number yet either

DRX896 obviously, as that was listed on the sky online planner site that got pulled.

Whats it to be called? the 2tb?
well, if true, it would be called the 1.5TB box (as it is named after the amount of personal space you get).
as I was thinking of getting a 1tb box
there has been no announcement from sky regarding this.
There's no 'if true' about it
i has to be an "if" until there is a public announcement by sky.
i'm not saying your facts are false, but you did say the DR stream was going live today - but that hasn't happened yet.
until an official announcement, anything has to be treated as "rumour".
BIB. It already has been announced to staff on our intranet site.
The 2TB box will become available on the 28th of September replacing the 1TB. Hence the OP stating it was available until the 27th of September
As for the DR stream update, it was posted on an internal memo to all field staff. If things change last minute there's not a lot I can do about it.
you mean the 1.5TB box?
