Which toys did you want but didn't get?

I longed for a scooter - couldn't have one because 'it would make one leg longer than the other' !
I really wanted a tricycle preferably with a boot. Didn't get one.
I wanted a dolls house - nothing doing...
I longed for a dog - I got a budgie who used to bite me given the chance.

A scooter and a triangle still appeal to me, I have moved home countless times as houses fascinate me.
And still wanting a dog.

The weaving loom and bus conductors outfit I did get didn't do it for me.

For years and years I wanted a 'gooey louie'

Never got it. Got one for my kids last year..it was a big letdown after such a long wait :D

I wanted a new Chopper, but had to make do with a second hand "Viking" (crap bike).

Not as bad as wanting a Yamaha FS1E so badly, but I was the youngest boy in the year and wasn't 16 until I'd left. My mum then lent me the cash for a "Batavus HS50", which was truly the crappiest moped in the history motorised transport. I've never forgiven the Dutch for the humiliation (or the 353 times it broke down).

I really wanted a Mr Frosty. Never got one. I think if i had i would have been disappointed anyway as they look a bit gash in hindsight.

Mousetrap and Operation. But a friend up the road had them so we could play there.

I also always wanted a Sindy type fashion doll but never had one.

To me, this post makes little sense, or am I having a 'blonde moment'?

A toy guitar, was desperate for one, never got one :( I'm still slightly convinced if my parents had got me one back in the day I'd be a world famous guitar legend by now instead of an estate agent :(:o

Was I the only kid who was allowed a mr frosty? :o

I think I made my mum regret buying it though, for months she was obliged to eat bowls of mush that I had made and spend fortunes on icepops :D

I always wanted Scalextric, so it was one of the first things I bought when I got a job. Now I've got loads of the stuff and can never be bothered to get it out of the loft!

    Lego Monorail.

And I wish we'd had Star Wars Lego when I was a child.

I was one of the lucky ones that did have a Mr Frosty. Used it twice.

A la Carte Kitchen :( I can still remember the ad with the little girl 'cooking up' some Swiss roll with some baked beans and serving it to her dad. I actually thought these foodstuffs came with the item!

Mousetrap, Kerplunk, Raving Bonkers, enough lego to actually make a house.

A Tressie or Cindy - got some cheap version when I was a bit past it.

Some actual furniture and people for my Dolls House.

Never mind, I can't say it stunted me or anything, but I'm still bitter about the lego.:o

I actually bought a Mr Frosty a few years ago from a charity shop, only for nostalgia value. I haven't actually used him yet, except as an ornament!
