  the one i am talking about is def american and wouldnt be as late as 1985
  
  the actor is someone like dennis weaver (duel) and if i remember right he wakes up to the radio playing.

  was def a full movie but none of the above
  
  it used to be shown on bbc2 late at night during the early 90s
