Digital Spy Ltd Violation of Google Adwords Policy

Digital Spy Ltd has been reported to Google for using illegal methods to generate pay-per-click revenue.

Recently, users have noticed adverts 'flying' onto the centre of the screen (blocking the forum et al) This results in users who cannot type or view the site and may accidentally click the advert.

Evidence has been recorded so trying to make changes now will be futile.

Recently, a forum moderator, in reply to users concern has tried to claim it is not intentional. As a leading website this excuse will not stop Google from taking action. If you don't know hoe to fix the error you should have taken alternative action.

Thousands of website owners get banned for this violation each week and you are no different.

I am pretty sure the adverts which "fly into the centre of the screen" arent even adwords/adsense adverts.

I doubt digital spy have violated any policies.

Try using this forum on an Archos, the ads refreshing push you back to the top of the screen.

Probably because DS are aware of them, rather than because you've threatened them.

I must admit there's been a few times where an advert has filled the screen. The latest HP one seems to link both ad boxes and whilst it's doing it's advert you can't click on anything, but clciking will load up the Hp site.... now that IS annoying.
