Celine Dion say she will not move back to Canada after she claims she is not happy with, the Harper government and how they punish their artists like the criminals.

She will not comeback Canada till Haper is gone.

Sheesh, I'll have to vote Conservative!

Madame Dion is hardly ever here as it is. She has homes in Nevada and Florida and only visits La Belle Province

No great loss for the rest of the nation.

A lot of people say it because the Juno awards snubbed her.

He's hardly ever in the country either. Just uses the passport

I've said it before, Beiber is an American creation but also a product of the lower end of Canadian life. Think along the lines of your Chavs. America has made him the monster he is. He sounds American, thinks American, earns in America

Have Canada got a Crimes against Music law? Would've thought that would be quite difficult to enforce. It's all rather subjective.

I hate when celebrities do things like this, publicly say they will leave a country because of a certain party been in government.

I find it extraordinarily arrogant, that there trying to use their fame as some sort of tool to influence their fans into getting their own way. The sad thing is that there some idiots who might just be influenced by her.

    She's from Quebec.

She has no influence in the rest of Canada.

Quebecois voters are fickle. The either vote Liberal or whichever Nationalist party is offering the best "incentive".

And......Neil Young. Joni Mitchell. Both great. :)

I was being flippant because the OP quotes Ms Dion saying Canada treats artists like criminals.

Celine Dion's "music" is a crime

Thank you, CRTC for your mandated Canadian content quota on Canadian airspace.

When asked to elaborate, Celine as usual went: "WoooaahhhooooooowwwwoowwwwOOOAAAHHH"
for a whole three and a half minutes.

Well, I didn't want to say it.

In fairness, it's just not my thing. Vocal gymnastics only get me if I think they mean it. If it feels like technique over soul....not interested. Which I'm sure has ruined Ms Dion's evening as she peruses DS prior to yet another sell out gig in front of happy fans. ;-)

I won't miss Celine Dion at all. I'm not a fan of her sort of music.
