Felt a bit sorry for him when he was rejected, those blue eyes aching tears either side of his sunburnt nose. He's young enough to try again in a few years though.
With all the wildcard second chances this year Simon could perhaps have arranged for him to be part of a new group, which let's face it is where he belongs - I doubt he will ever quite cut it as a solo singer.
He could have taught the others, especially Zain, how to move around a stage.

Me neither. I thought he was very average with an over-inflated opinion of himself.
And he was - in the words of my 13 year old cousin - "too ugly to be in a boyband". Ouch.
IMO the only one of them who would classify as good looking would be Zain, which presumably is why he was added to the line-up. The others are all hair - shave it off and the girls would not look twice.
All Tom would need to slot right in, until he grew his hair out, would be an old lady's wig.

Trouble is, his attitude after losing made me dislike him quite a lot.

I disagree. They were carefully selected and are all good looking, Harry especially is very cute.
I agree that Zain, Harry, & Liam all have it going on, but IMO the other two just look like grumpy dwarves. Tom could have replaced either of them easily.
So, no.
He had a decent enough voice, but I didn't like the way he performed ... like Danni pointed out, Tom seemed to over-emphasise every word he sung.
