Rapidshare finally closing its doors

March 31st will see Rapidshare close down for good after being in decline for well over a year as more and more users left due to the free service being scrapped. TBH I'm not surprised at this news as I haven't even thought about this site for so long I actually thought it had closed long ago.

Does anyone still use it or has everyone moved to cloud based backup sites and sharing such as OneDrive etc?

I used to use Rapidshare years before it became a shadow of it's former self.

Good it's finally ending, won't be sad to miss it.

I suppose the owners taking anti-piracy measures didn't help. They basically killed off their own business. They might have known that loads of people would cancel their membership once RapidShare became anti-piracy. They'd be stupid to think otherwise.

I might be wrong, but I highly doubt that Microsoft, Google and Sky would knowingly allow copyrighted content to be illegally stored in its cloud service.
