Recorded programme listed 24 hours ahead of when it was actually recoreded

Weird problem. I have a 5800 and on two occasions this week I have set it to recored a programme. It has duly recorded it but when I look for it in the recorded progs list it's down as being the next day.
EG......
I recorded a local BBC1 Northwest prog 5/04/10 at 15:40. In the list it showed as 6/04/10 at 13:40.
Also last nights edition of Embrassing Bodies at 21:00 on Channel 4 has come out as 8/04/10 at 19:00 when it shoudl show as 7/04/10 at 21:00.
Any ideas?
BTW the hard drive is almost full.
Also - I ahve an annoying problem in that sometime when it starts up to recored a prog from the timer it says "Update the Firmware?" and then options of Yes or No. Won't record till it's sorted. Annoying when I'm out and come home to find no recording.
