Smith commission to advise for income tax powers to be devolved.

Income tax rates and bands but not personal allowance and several welfare powers are.going to be recommended to be devolved to hollyrood.

    Should be interesting to see what happens if they try and impose a 50% + tax rate.

    And NI has been lobbying for years for the devolution of one tax power (corporation tax) and no one takes notice. Now Scotland want more tax powers than that and it's all over the news.

    These proposals look reasonable and I hope all parties get behind them. Of course nobody is going to be perfectly happy but a deal like this is all about compromise.
