    What an episode.

As someone said above, this is one giant mess, a huge web of secrets and lies and I have to give the production team credit for that. It's so complex and intricate. Everyone plays a part. Within that secret, there are now about 5 or 6 secrets waiting to be revealed. And it's a great move. Break them, then rebuild them.

EastEnders for me is unmissable right now. I'm so glad DTC has given my favourite soap a new lease of life.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts as well. When you get all the Carters in the same room together you can practically feel all the different stories sparking off of one another. A remarkable tangled web.

Imagine though if Shirley has lied and he isn't Dean's dad at all. If that came out at the same time as the rape reveal it could push Dean onto the route of suicide.

If that were the case, I think Shirley would've acted skittish against Dean coming with them and finding out more about Buster that would lead to said conclusion.

She didn't at all. So Dean [and Mick] are Buster's children.

    No johnny :(
I enjoyed the Stan, lee and Shirley/dean/buster story but could give a shot anymore about mick and linda and their rape storyline. Stacey should be told next well not next month so someone atleast knows way before the big reveal.

There's a chance the baby could be Mick's.

I was completely shcoked when Andy/Buster turned on Mick. His dark side is chilling. Jeepers Karl Howman is absolutely brilliant. The way he was able to switch between a geezer type and his prison side was remarkable

Linda Henry is simply sublime as well

    I loved Stan as always.

    An excellent episode I thought

    Completely agree!

    Fantastic episode tonight!!!

    Highlights for me were:-

    Dean bonding with his Father
Mick's not so soft side coming out
Mick shopping Buster to the police
    Phil saying sorry to Shirls
Shirls saying to Phil she'd shoot him again
    Buster's lust for Shirls
Buster working out he is Micks Dad too!

Only thing is........ wouldn't Buster have already met Mick many times before?

Buster is brilliant. I love him already. I also love Buster and Shirley as a couple, it comes across so natural and believable. I love that he genuinely cares for Shirley! I hope TPTB keep them together. Any word on when Karl Howman will be returning?

    Linda Henry, once again, brilliant.

Buster and Phil, what a brilliant meet. He put Phil in his place! And applauding Shirley for shooting him! :D

Starting to see a bit of Mick's dark side...

Does Dean know he raped Linda?

    Heartbreaking with Stan.

Buster figuring out he was Mick's dad - flipping fantastic.

Perfect end to an amazing week.

Do we know if Karl Howman has a longterm contract?

I don't think we know yet. I am hoping he will come back as a long term character, he is a much welcome addition. :)

I echo others about the 'Dr Poo' line from Stan...:D:D

How have you bypassed all the threads about them being Mother and Son?

I haven't read the other threads, hence why I didn't know she was his mother......it wasn't made obvious to me while watching EE.

I must have missed the five seconds when it was referred to in the program ;-)

    Just caught up on today having only seen the last 10 mins earlier;

    LOVE Buster!

I thought Karl H, Matt DA and Linda H had great chemistry in their scenes in the Vic.

I don't often like Linda but tonight I really felt for her and Kellie Bright was excellent.

Liked Lee and Nancy but seems like
they're phasing Johnny out, I guess it makes sense

Tonight was Carter-heavy but unusually not one of them grated on me. It was a great episode imo.

Fantastic episode!!!! So many secrets waiting to be exposed!

Weird to see all the Carters except the best Carter, I suppose I am going to have to get used to no Sam being around.

Buster is a breath of fresh air! Fantastic character!

I think you can already see that Buster will be more sympathetic to Dean once the rape reveal comes out (the chemistry was good between the 2actors) rather than Mick, with which he has rather a frosty relationship.
This will cause difficulties in his relationship with Shirley-who is bound to come out on mick's side after the reveal.

How long is Buster off the scene Now?? I presume he's a permanent character is he? Why even have the jail subplot if the character Is here to stay? Why can't
He just have finished a sentence?? That'd still mean he's Been away from Shirley but can still be a full time character without being away with some weird jail plot.
This seems a feature with DTC- the stilted start. Happened with Stan & Dean.

This whole Dean and his dad thing is a wee bit too glib and convenient for my liking.
Now why would Dean assume that he was his father....roll eyes.

is this the first conversation Linda and Dean have had since the rape?
I cannot understand how she can be so pleasant with him.

So, what relation will Linda's sprog be to Mick ?
Could be his son. Could be his nephew.

So Shirley is not the slapper we thought she was.
Shirley as the star crossed lover waiting for her man inside
She will be back with Philth as soon as he snaps his fingers

He should do. He was there at the time.

Haha, yes yes. You know what I meant. He seems to be acting as though he doesn't 'realise' what he did, that or he is really good at pretending it didn't happen.

They have made Dean so likable, I wish they hadn't made him the rapist tbh, I keep forgetting what he did, and then remembering that I'm not supposed to like him

In related news, I was just saying that I also like the idea of Buster not having any baggage, he seems more like a drifter, not to dissimilar to Shirley, only that she has more links now. It would be nice to have a fresh character who doesn't have all their baggage following to the square, no secret wives or kids or anything. It would be nice to have a relationship for Shirley where her partner is loyal to her and isn't dishonest with her, he does have a dark side, but it doesn't seem to hide it, and Shirley is aware of it. It is refreshing. I really can't get over how good an addition he is.
