Anti American sentiment in the UK

I think it's disgusting how there's so much hate towards Americans in this country. Without them we'd be nothing, pretty much a third world state. They came to us in our time of need in World War II and we should be grateful about that. There is no greater friend and ally than The United States of America.

Unlike those European parasites that are the French and Gemans, Americans are awesome.

    No I'm not. I've always wondered why there's so much hate towards Americans when they're our greatest allies of ours. We watch their movies, listen to their music, follow their politics etc. The world would be a dull place without the US imo.

    Yeah we hate them sooo much...we rush to McD's in our Ford cars, change into Levi's before watching CSI and booking our hols in Florida :D

    I just need to look at one of the YouTube videos that one of the posters has pointed out and I can see plety of anti-American sentiment, funnily enough most of it from the UK :rolleyes:

    Plus the way we laugh at the 'fat Americans' when it's hilarious how we're not far behind them.

    Just the general attitude this country has towards America is what I hate.

    You mean the "America: F*ck yeah" video?

    That has over 59,000 comments.
    I find it hard to believe that you've read enough of them to know that "most" of the negative comments are from the UK.

    Beyond that, I'd also suggest that a lot of the negative comments focus on the fact that the person who made that video seems to have overlooked the satirical nature of the music.
