I have hardly heard of a man who has accomplished so little, believe he is so much like such great men. What do you think?

No he isnt. He's actually not as charismatic as everyone originally believed. As soon as he actually got elected he disappeared into obscurity.

Anyone who gets to be president of USA automatically has to compromise.

I still think Obama is a really good guy though.

I don't see him comparing himself to Ghandi or Mandela, quite the opposite. He's saying that it's difficult to do what they did and he alone is not enough, the way I read it.

    No.
I thought everyone hated him in the US...and for that reason we may end up with a homophobe, a psychotic Mormon or an old man who is obsessed with the moon as the most powerful man on Earth.
Then again, I know basically nothing about US politics, so...

    ...comparing himself to Ghandi....

Remember how embarassing it was when Dan Quayle corrected that kid by sticking an "e" on the end of "potato"...?

Nelson Mandela got a Nobel peace prize for basically being a terrorist.

    It's a very strange world.

David Cameron became Prime minister after being a rioter and smashing up establishments..
    Go figure.

If you get your political knowledge from Real Clear Politics, I'm not surprise it's as daft as your spelling.

Good guys don't get to become President of the United States.

Obama is a dyed in the wool politician representing the interests of the American ruling class. He believes in their mission and has done nothing to disappoint them. He's done a better job of preserving the essential status quo of American society than his predecessor, and he will be returned to power for another four years because of that.

Another four years of goofing around, playing ping pong, karaoke and getting down at the basketball game. No wonder he always looks like he can't believe his luck and so will enjoy every minute of it. :D
