Keep a light on somewhere downstairs and beside your bed. Put the radio/telly on low (not Channel 4, as The Vault of Horror film is about to start!). Shut that window and draw all the curtains closed. Read a book until you get sleepy.

Failing that, stay on DS until it gets light, then have a late snooze!

Ooft! What are you lot like?! :p I'm a horror book/movie fan and I sleep alone. No worries here, other than the cats trampolining off me when they have a mad half hour at 1am. :D

Im normally fine, not sure why im anxious tonight! Probably overtired as didnt sleep at all last night worrying about mine and husbands jobs (not sure if either of us will have one in 4weeks)

My cats snoring away at end of bed, shes a right noisy bugger.

Will stay on digital spy, kindles flat and no charger besides its full of scary books.

Gonna have to stop watching scary films at night, the older i get the more they bother me.

How do you think people who live alone survive?

Break-ins are statistically rare. You'll be ok. :)

the other day upon the stair
    I saw a man who wasn't there.
    He wasn't there again today
I wish that man would go away ......

the answer is probably "Horlicks" .

My husband is away for the weekend and im feeling like a wuss!!

He goes away often and i usually like it and feel ok, but tonight every little noise has me on edge!!

Ive checked doors n windows dozens of times but im to anxious to sleep.

Might just go get in bed with my daughter, a nice snuggle might make me feel better.

    Me too.

I remember when my parents were gone for 2 weeks on holidays and my bf wasn't with me.

I decided to take my parents bed as it's a double and I like to sprawl. I lied down and I swear I could hear running up and down the hall

So I moved back to my room and there was no sounds at all, I struggled to sleep :(
