Nokia 7610 - actual alarm sound real quiet compared to preview sound.

Hello 
Do any of you have a Nokia 7610.
I do and I am very disappointed with the alarm clock feature.
When I preview the alarm sound, i.e, drill, it comes out very loud, but when the alarm actually turns on, its much more quiet and I cannot find a way of increasing the sound.
Grrrr!
