Zulu (2013)

A French movie but made in English (with a bit of Afrikaans) in South Africa. Forest Whitaker as a straight arrow Zulu detective and Orlando Bloom (shaking off his drippy elf persona) as his hard-drinking womanising partner.
It gets a bit overheated at times but the combination of past traumas, old politics and new crime is quite mesmerising. Good performances, stunning locations and more violence than Seven Sisters on Saturday night.:cool:

    Blimey! That's a relief. I thought somebody had remade the Cy Endfield classic.
