T-shirt size comparison between UK and USA

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question, as I've failed to find any solid information anywhere else...

I'm looking to order a t-shirt from an American website. They don't have it in inches or whatever, just S, M, L, XL, etc.

I'm an XL in the UK. I was just wondering whether I'd then want an XL or XXL shirt?

Thanks! :)

Having bought clothes while on holiday in the US I would
say that you would be fine with an XL. If anything, the US sizes are a bit more generous which is why I like them!

    Try something like this http://convertalot.com/clothing.html

Mens sizes tend to be very similar as far as I know.

I've always found US stuff to be bigger. I've had a few size medium things that have been like tents on me and I'm normally between a M and an L.

An XL should be fine, quite possibly even an L.

They do like their food over the pond remember ... most obese nation on the planet are gonna make their clothes roomy ....
