Coronation Street airs edited episodes from tomorrow!

After facing a viewer backlash in recent weeks, Coronation Street and ITV have announced today plans for a new producer to take over as early as this week.

The show has been thrown into chaos in recent viewers as viewer black lash has continued to mount, and viewer figures have continued to decrease. ITV have stepped in and announced today that producer Stuart Blackburn, and executive producer Kieran Roberts left the series with immediate effect two weeks ago.

New fresh faced producer Chrissy 2005 has taken to the helm instantly which has seen rewrites, reshoots and a lot of hard work go on in the past few weeks. Chrissy 2005's name will start showing jointly on the credits with Stuart Blackburn as of tomorrow, episodes which air the return of Tina O'Brien as fan favorite Sarah Platt.

ITV and Coronation Street are believed to be supporting Chrissy 2005 in his efforts to turn the shows fortunes around as quickly as possible. And we are led to believe that other announcements could be expected soon.

I was wondering this as well, Chrissy? If it is a completely new thread would you sometime be able to write a piece tying up the loose ends from the first thread, as you had some really interesting stuff going on, particularly regarding your Freddie Stubbs character!!

Gail is concerned that Bethany has turned up without Sarah and spends the morning trying to get in touch with her daughter, but she can't get through to her which leaves Gal concerned as to what has gone on. Bethany is reluctant to talk about Sarah, making it obvious to Gail and David that they have fallen out and they watch as Bethany distracts herself by playing with Max and Lily.

Gail decides to organise a family lunch in the hope of getting to the bottom of Bethany's appearance in Weatherfield and heads out. In the corner shop, as she shops she bumps into Callum and Erika who both get on her nerves. Frustrated she rushes out of the shop, and realising she has forgot something key to the lunch meal, she nips over to the Bistro and asks Nick for the item from his kitchen. She ends up having words with Steph while Nick is in the back, leaving Nick suspicious when he walks back into the awkward atmosphere.

Gail heads back to the empty house where she begins to make lunch, she is delighted when Michael joins her and helps her with the lunch prep. Nick arrives soon after with Erika which frustrates Gail, and when Nick starts questioning Gail about her reaction to Steph, Michael overhears and becomes interested, Gail uncomfortable lies saying that she is insulted by something Steph said last week.

David and Audrey are heading back from the salon when they spot Bethany arguing with Norris after being chucked out of the Kabin. They interrupt, David drags Bethany back to the house while Audrey apologises to Norris. As a family row errupts in the Platt's over Bethany's behaviour with Norris, Sarah comes storming in looking for her daughter, when she finds her in the kitchen she slaps her and then wraps her arms around her. “Don't you dare ever put me through that again”

Sally realising how bad things are between Sophie and Kevin following her involvement in his relationship with Jenny last week, puts herself out and contacts Jenny urging her to meet with Kevin again. Kevin is delighted when Jenny calls him and arranges another date.

Chesney drops into the cafe to ask after Joesph only to get a mouth full from Anna who is in an awful mood. Beth who is with Ches, jumps to his defence, leaving Anna feel bad when she is put in her place.

Liz is excited about the brewers ball later as it means she can show off Tony, Tony soon realises that he is just being used to make her look good and refuses to go, causing a big row between the pair which Michelle gets stuck in the middle of. Liz suggests Steve and Michelle go instead and enjoy the night...

    Monday 23rd March 8:30

Gail is confused as to what is going on, and the Platts are surprised to discover that Bethany left Italy without telling Sarah after a row between them. Gail realising the family needs to talk asks Erika to leave, but Nick jumps to her defence asking if she will send Michael away. However Erika and Michael both decide to leave to save the tension.

As Bethany refuses to show an interest in the family chat, she slopes off upstairs for a bath, leaving David, Sarah, Nick, Gail and Audrey sitting around the dinning table. Sarah explains how Bethany has grown into a handful and she really lost it with her last week and lashed out at her daughter blaming her for things she probably shouldn't have. So Bethany taught her a lesson by disappearing. Sarah then catches up on what's been going on with the family, with Nick heading off back to work Sarah tells him she will be over to inspect the Bistro, Audrey heads back to the Salon. Sarah pulls David aside and tells him it's good to see how he has grown up and the siblings share a hug for the first time after all these years. David then follows Audrey back to work.

When Gail tries to then push Sarah for more answers about her fight with Bethany, Sarah loses her cool and bites her own mum's head off leaving Gail taken aback. Tired of the day she has been having, Gail heads off out to Sally's with a bottle of wine. Sarah goes upstairs and explains to Bethany that she has them a flight booked for the end of the week to go back home, Bethany looks through her mum as she tells her she is going to pop out and catch up with old friends. Bethany looks lonely as she continues to sit alone after Sarah has left.

Sarah shocks Maria by walking into the Bistro, and Audrey agrees to let Maria go early for a drink with Sarah and they head to the Bistro. Sarah is impressed with Nick's work, however makes it clear to Maria she is less than impressed with Erika. As Maria and Sarah catch up over a drink, Sarah is surprised when Todd and Jason walk in. Sarah is taken aback to see the brothers together again after all these years. Both brothers don't notice her until she heads up to the bar for more drinks and has an awkward reunion with them. Sarah invites them to join her and Maria and it's clearly tense at first but they seem to relax into one another’s company when Sarah makes it clear she is just visiting.

Gail vents to Sally about the awful day she has been having, venting about Callum, Erika, Steph, Bethany and Sarah. As they get drunk, Sally also vents about Jenny Bradley and how she had to suck up to her for Sophie's sake.

Anna arrives to apologise to Ches but he is at the hospital with Sinead, so Beth invites her in. They have a cup of tea and Beth can see Anna is having a hard time and offers her a shoulder to cry on, after discussing Owen, Linda and Katy, and airing her concerns for Faye, Anna cracks and admits she can't remember the last time she was happy. Beth is moved and suggests a drink in the Rovers.

Liz is annoyed as Michelle and Steve head off on the night out, and Tony slips out the back door. Left running the Rovers alone, she gets bored and starts having a few drinks. As the episode draws to a close, she is about to shut up for the night when Anna, Beth, Gail and Sally turn up on her doorstep wanting one last drink. Liz tells them she is shutting, and the women force their way in delighted that Liz has invited them to a lock in.

    Friday 27th March 7:30

Over breakfast it is tense at the Platt household. Audrey and Nick drop in and the tension eases off slightly, David tells Audrey he will be late into work as he wants to catch up with Sarah while she is here. David waits until he is alone with Sarah to speak to her about Bethany. Sarah hits the roof however when David suggests that Bethany is lonely and doesn't want to live in Italy any longer. History is finally revisited between the pair as Sarah brings up Callum and David's previous drug incident with Sarah admitting she set David up not to get the job in Italy. David tells Sarah he doesn't care any more because if he had went to Italy then he wouldn't have had Max and Lily in his life and that's all that matters now. Sarah is taken aback, and David tells Sarah she needs to put Bethany first now. After the row, Sarah decides to take Bethany shopping in town, however when Sarah's back is turned, Bethany shop lifts in the most obvious manor, Sarah chases after her daughter and is furious with her but is taken aback when Bethany asks “Where is the police?”

Anna arrives at the Rovers and awkwardly begins cleaning up the night before's mess, but she is surprised when Liz joins in and helps her, under Tony's watchful eye. Later Beth rants to Tracy about her fight the night before which Tracy laps up. Later Tony is annoyed when Tracy brings up the fight between Liz and Beth as a chance to look down on Liz and he puts her in her place. Tracy is less than impressed. While Anna apologises to Chesney for biting his head off the previous day.

Sophie is concerned when she realises that neither Julie or Beth have been doing the paper work for the shop, concerned she asks Sally to look over things while Dev is away. Sophie and Kevin make peace after his date with Jenny goes well after they meet for lunch, while after spending her day off sorting out Dev's paper work, Sally is shocked by how bad things are and explains to Sophie that the shop is facing financial ruin...

    Friday 27th March 8:30

Sarah is confused by Bethany's behaviour until she reveals that if she had been arrested it would have stopped her from taking her back to Italy. Realising that David was correct, Sarah pushes her daughter to be honest with her and realising she wants to stay in Weatherfield, Sarah agrees that she can stay. Sarah asks Gail and David to look after Bethany and prepares to leave for Italy. Bethany is shocked that her mother is leaving without her, and Sarah secretly admits to Nick she knows that Bethany will follow her back to Italy. Sarah says her goodbyes, and leaves the street behind, leaving an upset Bethany being supported by David.

Tracy warns Tony that she wants to see him tonight or he will regret it. But Tony being Tony does not appreciate being dictated too. So he arranges a night out with Liz at the Bistro. Tracy watches as he and Liz head out on their night out together, frustrated and after a few drinks, Tracy turns up on Beth's doorstep. Beth is taken aback when Tracy reveals her affair with Tony. Beth is taken aback, and gets the gossip from Tracy, but is surprised when Tracy gets upset and she is left comforting her heartbroken friend.

Sally and Sophie have to explain to Julie and Mary about the state the shop is in. Julie refuses to believe that Dev would've walked away from the shop without telling her the mess it is in. Sophie and Sally make her realise that Dev was probably in denial of how bad things have got as it's been a part of his life for so long. Sally offers to help Julie try and turn it around before he comes back. Julie appreciates Sally's support and they put their heads together to try and improve things.

    Monday 30th March 7:30

Tony wakes up in a bad mood which is obvious to Liz, Steve and Michelle over breakfast. Liz airs her concerns to Eileen over lunch about Tony's mood and when Eileen assures Liz that she has tamed the beast, Liz is left thinking about her future. Tony also has his future on his mind, and pays Tracy a visit at the shop. Tony tells Tracy that what they had was over and he wants to build a future with Liz and has realised that their fling could jeopardise that. When Tracy questions him as to why he expects her to keep quiet, Tony brings Amy into the mix and makes Tracy feel like an awful mother. Tracy agrees to keep quiet about their fling if Tony stays out of her business and leaves her to run it how she wants. Tony agrees and heads back to the pub, leaving a broken Tracy behind. Beth drops into the shop and finds an upset Tracy and takes her straight to the Rovers to front it out and show Tony that he hasn't won. At the Rovers Liz arrives back from town, and silences the pub by proposing to Tony...

Leanne is annoyed as she sees Nick and Erika giggling as she arrives for work and ends up bitting his head off. He later apologises, telling him she is just feeling rubbish and seeing him so happy was just frustrating. Worried about her, Nick spotting Carla asks her to have a few words with Leanne. Carla is reluctant but Nick talks her into it, reminding her how good friends they used to be.

Sally comes up with a plan to try and improve business at the shop, by organising a survey to see what the locals want from the shop. She, Julie and Maddie all discuss it at the factory but Carla warns them to concentrate on their own work. Sally gets carried away, and with Carla out of office, she begins planning it on the works computer.

Michael surprises Gail with a picnic in the garden to cheer her up after the tough week she had. Gail is smitten with Michael, and enjoys the afternoon with him, even when the heavens open and they get caught in the rain, they are laughing and joking.

    Monday 30th March 8:30

Tony accepts Liz's proposal which leads to joy in the Rovers, with the exception of Tracy. Beth follows her into the smoking area, which Liz notices out the corner of her eye. Tracy can't believe what she has just witnessed and is determined to go in and tell Liz the truth, Beth tries to support Tracy but when she storms back into the pub, she loses her nerve and goes to the toilet, Beth follows her and comforts her in the cubicle about her affair with Tony being over. After they decide to leave, it is revealed that Anna has overheard everything from the next cubicle... while in the pub everyone celebrates the engagement.

Carla drops into Leanne's on her way home, she uses Simon as a guise, claiming she just wanted to check in on him. Leanne offers Carla a cup of tea and Carla asks how she is, Leanne sees through Carla and it soon becomes clear Nick is behind it. Leanne is defensive but Carla pushes Leanne to admit she isn't happy. As they sit down to talk, Leanne admits she feels trapped in this relationship with Kal because she used him as an escape from Nick and now seeing Nick happy is upsetting her more. Not because she wants him back but because he made her unhappy in the first place. Carla tells Leanne she needs to put herself first and maybe she should be single for awhile. Leanne is left thinking.

Maddie and Tim are being driven mad as Sally and Sophie go into drive as they begin to prepare for this survey about the shop.

Michael asks Gail if she can try and make amends with Steph as it would mean the world to him, Gail feels guilty as she agrees to make the effort to make peace.

Loving what you're doing with the Platts already!! That's exactly how I would have chosen it, an uneasy truce called between Sarah & David due to the fact both have matured in 7 years!! It would be lazy writing to just bring them back to where they were 7 years ago, at each other's throats like a couple of immature kids!!

On a personal level you will have your work cut out trying to get me interested in the awful Tracy/Tony/Liz triangle!! Have no time for any of the three characters, but I realise there are others that do like them so I'll stick with you on that one, see what you come up with!! Lol!!

    Wednesday 1st April

Anna is cleaning the Rovers and is trying to make conversation with Liz when Eileen arrives, Eileen suggests an engagement party, Liz is reluctant but Eileen talks her into having a party in the Rovers in Friday convincing Michelle to organise it. Ken is later delighted to discover the news from Liz in the cafe, who comments she is surprised Tracy never told him as she was in the Rovers, while Ken comments this could be the perfect thing to get Deirdre to come home from Bev's. Feeling guilty, Anna pays Beth a visit and admits she overheard her and Tracy in the Rovers toilets. Beth urges Anna to keep quiet as it's not worth breaking Liz's heart, but Anna leaves unconvinced. After watching Liz and Tony together, Anna follows Liz into the smoking yard and reveals what she knows about Tony and Tracy's affair, as Liz takes in the news and admits she had her suspicions already, we see Ken in the Barlow yard having overheard deciding not to call Deirdre after all...

Leanne thanks Nick for getting Carla to speak to her. Nick tells her she deserves to be happy too and Leanne is left thinking. She meets with Kal for lunch, but she can't bring herself to end things between them. After he has gone, Leanne admits to Nick that he is a nice guy and doesn't deserve to be hurt. Nick tells her that he doesn't deserve to be lied to either.

Catching Sally once again talking about the corner shop with Julie, Carla warns her to get back to work but when she heads into the office computer she hits the roof after discovering Sally has been using it for her work at the shop while she was out yesterday. Sally finds herself marched into the office and given her marching orders. Sally is mortified as she is sacked on the spot. Deciding to hide her embarrassment when Julie pops around to check on her, Sally tells Julie she has decided to invest all her efforts into the shop by becoming the manager Sophie and Julie are left taken aback...

Gail visits Steph and Gavin at the flat and warns them that this betrayal needs to end and they need to find a way to resolve this without hurting Michael because she can't keep lying for them.

    Friday 3rd April 7:30

Liz stands in the Rovers as everyone around her organises the chaos that will soon be her engagement party to Tony, she is clearly gathering her thoughts, the moment is broken when Tony puts his arms around her and begins kissing her neck, stating how excited he is for the night ahead.

At the Barlows Tracy is making her excuses about why she isn't going to the party but Ken refuses to listen to it, telling Tracy he needs her for moral support as he tells Liz that Deirdre has decided not to come after all. Ken stares Tracy out as she reluctantly agrees and heads upstairs to get ready.

Liz greets her guests with big smiles as they arrive one by one, most appearing to be happy couples. Beth and Kirk. Anna and Owen. Andrea and Lloyd. Sean and Billy. Maria and Luke. Erika and Nick. Leanne and Kal. Sally and Tim. Liz struggles to hold it together when Ken and Tracy arrive and Ken informs her that Deirdre can't make it.

Beth is startled that Tracy has come to the party, and suggests she head home but Tracy tells her that Ken has dragged her along and she will need to stay for a bit to keep up appearances. As everyone lets their hair down and enjoy themselves, Liz is clearly struggling especially when she spots Steve really enjoying himself, but then she turns and notices a look between Tracy and Tony, and is unable to hold it together any longer, she gets everyone’s attention and begins to make a speech. “On Monday, Tony did me the beautiful honour of agreeing to become my husband. My husband. However what he failed to inform me, was that he was never actually just mine. I have been sharing him all along. With Tracy Barlow. I have been sharing my fiance with my murderous, slapper ex daughter in law.” The pub falls silent, and Tony just glares in disbelief at what Liz has said...

Leanne realises that Carla and Nick are correct and that she needs to break things off with Kal when she discovers they have no conversation when left alone.

And Sally enlists her team to get to work during the party, so Julie, Sophie, Mary, Maddie and Tim are handing out surverys and asking the locals to fill them out...

    Friday 3rd April 8:30

“What, nothing to say in you defence darling?” Liz comes from behind the bar, and Tracy begins to laugh as she walks towards her and she comments that he played them both. Liz slaps Tracy across the face, and Tracy lunges for Liz however Todd and Jason hold her back. Liz sends Tracy in the direction of the door, before returning behind the bar. “The entertainment is done for this evening. I appreciate you all coming here under these false pretences, it turns out it wasn't just me being lied to after all but if you could all follow the **** out the door that would be appreciated”. Everyone begins to head towards the door, Steve tries to direct Tony out the door but he stands firm and Liz tells Steve to leave him. With everyone gone from the pub but her and Tony, Liz just stares at him.

Tony begins to plead, and explain his mistake. Tony tells Liz he knows he has done wrong, that's why he ended it because he wants what they have. Liz coldly tells Tony it's already too late as he has already flung it all away. Tony gets emotional and admits to Liz that she is the first person he has ever really let in, but Liz tells him he blew it, not her. Liz heads through the back and returns with his packed bags and tells him it's done. Tony tries to plead with her one last time but Liz doesn't even flinch so Tony takes his things and walks out the door.

Once alone in the empty Rovers, Liz finally cracks and breaks down... while Eileen opens the door to Tony and admits she's been expecting him, and clips him around the ear as he enters.

Kal walks Leanne back to the flat, and when he suggests he should stay over, Leanne turns down his offer. Leanne kindly tells Kal she thinks it's time they called it a day because it's not really working. Kal is annoyed and asks Leanne if she realises what he has given to be with her and she is just walking away. Leanne tells Kal she understands but she has found herself in this relationship as a way to escape Nick and is still not happy, she needs to put herself first. Kal tells Leanne she is a disgusting user and hopes she is never happy. Leanne is taken aback as he storms off...

Sally finds herself annoyed by some of the responses to the survey which clearly aren't taking it very seriously. But Tim soon distracts her by getting flirty with her...

    Monday 6th April 7:30

Liz is putting her face on over breakfast and as soon as Amy, Michelle and Steve come into eat she starts acting like nothing has happened which Steve and Michelle struggle to ignore. As she prepares to open the Rovers it is clear that Liz is struggling to hold it together but as soon as the doors open and Norris and Mary come bouncing in, preparing for the gossip, her facade goes on and it's back to work.

At the Grimshaws, Tony has split opinion. Jason is sticking up for his dad, Eileen is defending Liz and Todd bitches on behalf of Tracy, as things get a bit heated, Sean just sits back and watches but the musings fall silent when Tony enters the room. Tony is moping around as everyone heads off to work and Eileen gives him some words of support, reminding him that pity will achieve him nothing.

Ken and Tracy sit in silence over breakfast. Ken tells Tracy that he is going to join Deirdre for a few days, and when he comes back, he wants her to have resolved the issue with Tony and Liz. Tracy isn't interested, and heads to the Rovers to rub Liz's face in it. But Liz doesn't rise to the bait, but things get awkward when Amy overhears Norris and discovers about Tony and Tracy, and Tracy is left hurt when Amy rejects Tracy calling her disgusting for being with granddad Tony.

Eileen drops in to the Rovers and manages to drive Tracy out of the pub, Eileen arranges a night out with Liz to cheer her up but when Todd comments about Eileen avoiding her internet date, Liz agrees to call Erika for a night out instead. As she heads through the back to call her, she is startled to find Tony waiting for her in the back room...

Craig is concerned about Faye and how she seems to be ignoring the fact that she is having a baby, he keeps onto her and she agrees to make a plan for her labour and convinces Craig that the empty flat above the shop is the perfect place for her to have the baby. Tim becomes suspicious of the pair as he keeps spotting them in deep conversation. Heading home after an awkward exchange with Tim about his relationship with Faye, Craig heads home and finding Beth home alone is tempted to confide in his mother.

Nick and Carla find themselves caught in an awkward exchange between Kal and Leanne in the shop and Leanne has to inform Simon about her split with Kal but his lack of reaction is upsetting for her. While Yasmeen is clearly tired of Sharif and Roy's gardening hobby...

    Monday 6th April 8:30

Liz is facing Tony, her face begins to slip as he pleads with her to forgive his mistakes. Liz is clearly tempted by Tony especially as he gets emotional, but something he says triggers something and she picks up a photo of Jim and turns to Tony and calmly tells her she has spent her life trying to change a man and living in fear of what was going to kick off next, she made it clear to him she wouldn't deal with his troubles from the beginning. Tony promises it was just a blip and Liz turns it back on him, telling him, he was just a blip in her regrowth. She doesn't need a man to make her, and directs him to the door. As he slips out the back yard, Tracy hearing him from the yard corners him and arranges for him to come over later. She is clearly desperate and lonely with Ken gone, and sits waiting for him. Tony heads to the Grimshaws and after a brief chat with Jason decides to escape Weatherfield for awhile. As he disappears into the night, there is a knock on the Barlows door. Tracy rushes expecting Tony and is disappointed to find Carla offering her a bottle of wine...

Eileen has her date in town with Adrian. Eileen is nervous as she waits for her taxi and Lloyd and Steve don't help. However the date goes well, Adrian does seem to overhype his wealth and job to impress Eileen but she sees through it and they agree to see each other again...

The family night that Izzy has arranged to try and cheer Owen up following Katie's departure is a bit disappointing as it is clear that no one really wants to be there. Owen sits watching the TV, Anna is fussing around doing the washing and Gary is texting Alya. As she is feeling uncomfortable physically, Faye tries to make her excuses to leave which leads to her loosing her cool with Anna that sparks a row between Anna and Owen. Faye uses this as an excuse to escape, heading to Craig's, he finds him and Beth sitting awkwardly as she has picked up that he is trying to talk to her about something. Faye interrupts that, and Beth realising she is upset agrees to let her stay and calls Anna to tell her that. As Craig and Faye settle down for the night, he discomfort is obvious...

Kal bites Nick's head off when he tries to offer some support, while he then oversees Leanne bite of Carla's following her awkward exchange with Simon. Leanne apologises before rushing off, leaving Nick and Carla to joke about being caught up in Kal and Leanne's moods.

When Roy and Sharif come to blows over the allotment, Yasmeen steps in and convinces Sharif to give up the plot as he doesn't need it like a struggling Roy does.

    Wednesday 8th April

Steve has picked Eileen up from town and is arriving back on the street when they spot Erika stumbling across the street towards the Rovers. Outside she stops when she spots Nick and suggests he join them inside for a nightcap, including Eileen and Steve in the conversation. All four head inside to find Liz drinking alone. Liz is clearly less than impressed to find an audience for her misery.

Erika's flirting with Nick soon becomes excessive as the others try to take Liz's mind off her relationship troubles with light hearted conversation it becomes more apparent and begins to irritate the others, including Nick. Nick makes his excuses to leave, clearly rejecting Erika's advances. When he is gone and Erika continues to go on about him, Eileen loses her cool and puts her in her place when Liz goes to the bathroom pointing out that relationship chat isn't what Liz needs right now. When Liz returns from the bathroom to hear Erik insulting her relationship with Tony, she loses it finally and chucks Erika out. Eileen leaves of her own accord and Liz is left sobbing in Steve's arms.

In the Barlows, Tracy realises she has lost Tony, but Carla gets to the heart of the issue and pushes Tracy about her feelings for Rob and makes Tracy realise she isn't over him and her failed marriage yet. Tracy is left thinking, and looking at a photo of her and Rob decides to call the prison... while Carla leaves and bumps into Nick as he leaves, as they head back to Victoria Court together, Carla suggests he comes up for a drink. Initially reluctant Nick agrees and the pair get chatting about Leanne, Erika and Tracy. As they playful disagree over Carla's feelings towards Tracy, Carla tries to defend Tracy but Nick insists that she hates her, they get flirty and it's not long before they are kissing and heading to the bedroom...

Craig has let Faye have his bed as he sleeps on the floor. However Faye's discomfort continues throughout the night and it soon becomes apparent to Craig that she is in labour, however with Faye reluctant to get any help, her pain continues and she struggles to hide it as Beth, Kirk and Chesney are awoken by her yelps. Beth soon takes control of the situation as Chesney and Kirk struggle to take in what is going on. Beth sends them to get Anna and Craig and Beth get Faye comfortable. Kirk and Chesney awake Anna, Owen and Gary and startle them with the revelation that Faye is in labour. Anna dashes upstairs to the bedroom, arriving just in time for the birth. While downstairs the four men awkwardly stand around, unsure what to do. The paramedics arrive and take mother and baby to the hospital with Anna by her side. Beth takes Craig in her arms and tells him how much she loves him.

Norris can't sleep, he is curtain twitching all night. He sees Erika arrive at the Rovers. Nick and Carla walking home together and then the ambulance arriving and taking Faye and Anna away. Every time that Emily pops downstairs for a cup of tea, or her book, or to check the door is locked, he gives her an update and Emily insists he go to bed.

Anna, Owen and Gary have been at the hospital all night. Faye is exhausted and resting up. Beth and Kirk clearly haven't slept and are sitting have a cup of tea, Beth admits she knew Craig wanted to talk last night and that he had something on his mind, but she never thought for a second it was that he had got Faye pregnant. Kirk is startled by the idea that Craig could be the father as it never crossed his mind. When Craig comes downstairs, they try to approach the subject with him about being a father and Craig insists he isn't the father. Beth believes her son but Kirk isn't so convinced now the idea is in his head.

Anna realises that Tim needs to know, Gary offers to go back to the street and also let Izzy know what has happened before the gossip gets around. Gary heads to the Websters and drops the bombshell over breakfast which leaves Tim horrified. As Gary leaves, Tim tries to rush off to work but Maddie, Sophie and Sally stop him in his tracks and make him realise this is his time to step up for Faye and not run away. Realising they are correct, Tim heads to the hospital with Sally, where it's awkward with Anna and Owen who have no conversation. Norris spots Gary in the street and comes looking for answers which Izzy interrupts on her way to work. Gary has to send Norris packing as he explains to Izzy what has happened.

When Faye wakes, Tim is beautifully supportive of his daughter and grandchild, and gets emotional seeing them together before gently telling Faye that he can tell her anything in the future. She is never alone. But the moment is broken when social services and the police arrive to speak to Faye because she is under age. Anna and Tim are horrified...

Nick and Carla awkwardly wake up next to each other and instead of having breakfast they agree they should just pretend the night before never happened. David instantly picks up on Nick's mood and pushing him for answers is surprised to discover about his night with Carla. Elliot Tittensor Joins the Barlow Family.

Elliot Tittensor joins the cast of Coronation Street in the coming months as the son of Soap legend Ken Barlow. Elliot will take on the role of Daniel Osbourne, son of Ken and Denise Osbourne. Daniel last appeared in 2007 played by Dominic Holmes as Ken reunited with his son for a short storyline as Ken and Deirdre's romance was on the rocks.

Producer Chrissy 2005 said of the casting "Elliot is a coup for the show. A strong young actor with experience behind him, and he is going to bring something new, exciting and special to the Barlow household in the coming months, just in a time when the unit needs a boost due to the sad loss of Anne Kirkbride."

Of the character of Daniel he said "he is at university and living his life to the full, however his excess partying leads to him turning up on dad's doorstep after being chucked out of halls and not having the guts to face mum just yet. Daniel is surprisingly a confident young man and is quite ready to take on adoptive sister Tracy which she won't be expecting. His love for writing and the press will be where he forms a bond with father Ken. But life hasn't been fair to Daniel and he has his own story to tell."

Tittensor will play younger in the role, himself being 25 and the character of Daniel being 20, it was also confirmed that Denise Black will be playing a reoccurring role in Daniel's arrival on the street as his mother Denise Osbourne.

We've had this Gavin/Andy story building away and it just all explodes and we really get to the heart of the Platt family next week, and of Gail and Michael's relationship. But the next year is actually going to be Gail's most challenging as she is going on this huge roller coaster ride that I can't wait to get started."

It's the morning of Michael and Gail's wedding. Steph is lost for words when Michael turns up to get ready at hers oblivious to her split from Andy the night before and she has to call him to come and get ready at the flat with Michael. When Andy arrives, she can barely look at him and just walks out.

At the Platts oblivious to Steph and Andy's drama, Gail is excitedly getting ready for her wedding day and won't let Sarah, Bethany and Audrey's attempts to wind her up about her previous failed marriages get her down as Maria does her hair and make up. David is distant in the background as he has events with Callum still on his mind.

Unable to hide her upset when she bumps into her brother, Luke takes an upset Steph to the garage where Luke and Tyrone comfort her, and push her for the truth about Gavin. Luke is furious when he discovers what has been going on and what Gavin has caught Steph up in.

As the wedding party heads off to the registry office, Luke is too late to catch up with Gavin against Steph's wishes leaving her relieved when he just ends up putting his arms around her and hugging her. Outside the registry office, Gail has last minute nerves and surprisingly Sarah and Bethany come together to support Gail into realising that she loves Michael.

Inside Gail and Michael are finally wed... and they share a loving kiss in front of their family and friends.

Also: Jenny is hostile with Sally as they head to the wedding with their partners Kevin and Tim. Rita, Emily, Norris and Roy all get sentimental and remember the past as they head to the wedding as guests.

    Monday 20th April 8:30

As the guests all head back to the Bistro, Gail and Michael are delighted to be finally wed. Gavin kicks off the party with a moving speech about his relationship with Michael and Gail, as Gavin speaks about his new found family we see Steph and Luke sitting in the police station...

In the Bistro, Nick enjoys Carla's company and they both agree that after their failed attempts they don't fancy ending up like Gail and make a pact to give up on marriage. Gail and Michael enjoy their first dance under the watchful eye of their friends and family, as Steph and Luke leave the police station, Luke is fuming as Steph tells him she has been charged for withholding evidence.

David isn't impressed when he discovers Callum lingering around outside the Bistro, and Callum throws a dig by revealing that he knows where Kylie is. Unable to handle the revelation, David heads back inside instead of rising to the bait. But Sarah sees David coming back in and suspecting Callum's appearance slips outside and enjoys flirting with him...

As Sarah and Callum sneak into the Platt household, Luke and Steph get out of a taxi. Luke unable to hold his anger any longer, storms into the Bistro and stops the party dead by punching Gavin and sending him flying. As his family and friends jump to his defence, Maria is furious at Luke for hitting Gavin in front of Liam and ushers him outside where a mortified Steph is waiting for him. Maria ends their relationship and tells Luke to go home and to grow up. Steph is upset at what Gavin has done to Luke and Maria and slips into the Bistro and watches in the background as everyone enjoys themselves.

After the scene with Andy, Gail's guilt becomes too much for her and she asks Michael to meet her back at the house. When Michael arrives, Gail struggling with her guilt finally reveals the truth to Michael, while an angry Steph watches Andy flirting with Maria and snaps, revealing the truth to the Bistro...

But Gail's pain soon turns to anger when she realises that Sarah has Callum upstairs and she chucks them both out in a rage.

At the Bistro, Gavin tries to talk his way out of Steph's revelation. As Nick, Audrey and Maria all pipe up trying to make sense of the revelation, Steph is quite happy to finally tell the truth and shocks Andy by revealing that she went to the police and told them the truth. Andy questions Steph as to why she has done this to him, and she calmly tells him that he turned her into someone she has never been. A liar. And that's all he has been. Steph says goodbye to Andy, as she tells him she knows he won't face up to what he has done and is going to run... Andy then rushes out of the Bistro proving her right.

Steph then struggles that all eyes are on her, and soon escapes followed by Maria who offers Steph suppport, reliving her previous experience with Charlie Stubbs to offer Steph support, while Maria agrees to sort things with Luke as Steph warns her that Andy has ruined enough lifes.

    Coronation Street introduces new siblings.

Coronation Street introduced two new regular characters to the show this week. Journalist Naila Badal returned to the street after making her first appearance in 2013 in a story that saw her report on Nick's Bistro. Naila played by ex Hollyoaks actress Saira Choudhry is now surrounded in mystery after the reveal that she is the ex best friend of Alya due to a complicated history with her brother Zeedan.

It is expected that this secret will come to light in the next few weeks as Coronation Street prepare to say goodbye to the Nazir family, which consists of Alya and Zeedan, their father Kal and his parents Yasmeen and Sharif.

In another surprise twist it was revealed that new character Danny Osborne played by ex Shameless actor Elliot Tittensor had a secret boyfriend Dawud played by ex Waterloo Road actor Naveed Choudhry. It has now been explained by the show that Dawud is Naila's sister and we will see them catch up onscreen in the next few weeks as it becomes clear they have been distant for some time.

Back to form chrissy!! You're proving that any characters, even the Nazirs can be interesting given a bit of imaginative writing!! Loving the Luke & Steph stuff as well, two criminally underused characters under Stuart Blackburn!! Looking forward to the next instalment!!
