    1) the actor grew up and they couldnt use him anymore so swept his character under the carpet, lol.
    2) I dont think this needed an answer, he had the gift and it came in handy on the island
    3) Yeah, unanswered, thoughts sprogs couldnt be born on the island?
    4) Ate all his greens as a youngster?
    5) Ditto
    6) I have no idea
    7) As above
    8) This was answered: Richard only went to test John as a child because John himself told Richard he was special when he went back in time on the island before he was born.
    9) Were these all Jacob?
    10) MIB/Smokie? I dont know sorry

It's not a maths exam; you don't need all the answers.

    Jacob??

He was the protector of the Island for a few (thousand) years, what about him?

I'm not sure if Ben's school friend could be called a "theme". She's just a character. As a matter of fact none of them are "themes". They are what they are. :p

Widmore was paying him $1.6m to go to the island to get Ben. Miles wanted double that ($3.2m) from Ben and if he got it he'd tell Widmore that Ben was dead. It was greed basically. :p

Perhaps he's not the only one. How did Ben manage to get out from under the fallen tree?

They supposedly wanted Mr. Eko back for the finale too, but he wanted five times what they were prepared to pay him.

I saw Eloise as a guadian. She was atuned to Desmond in his flashes and knew what he was up to in the last part of the series. She was also steeped in island history being there as a young woman.

Didn't Ben's schoolfriend die in the purge which is why he was so guilty about it. If she never, she probably went off island in the sub.

Leaving the island was still a plot device up until the last series. Both subs, helicopter, freighter.

Perhaps WAlt was a candidate as he had powers. The island enhanced these.

I don't think Mikhail and Ethan were particulaly strong. Ethan only really fought Charlie and kidnapped Claire. Not Mr Eko.

Depends what you mean by Aaron being special. He was what connected Kate to Claire.

Locked dad, brought in by Jacob so Sawyer could kill him thus giving him redemption and making him a good candidate. All the candidates redeemed themselves on the island somehow.

So he could return to the island as leader of the others.

Regarding Eloise, I gathered that what we thought were somehow mystical powers, was actually just knowledge she gleaned from the diary she takes from Daniel after she shoots him and encountering the other Losties in the Island's past. Which was why, once she sent them back to the island she no longer knew what to do as Daniel's Diary runs out at that point.

What happened to Cindy (the air hostess) and the children she looked after?

Why was Ben so special that he was the only one who could kill Jacob & Widmore?

Think about it this way. The battle between Ben and Widmore was a battle for the island in the physical sense. The battle between Jacob and the guy in black was the battle for the island in a spiritual sense.

    Jacob??

Actually I think Jacob is the awnser to most things. When Ben told Hurley at the end that Jacob ran things in a certain way and Hurley could do it differently if he wanted to, I think that was the writers saying ... most of the island stuff is down to how Jacob chose to do things based on his own motivations of finding candidates and stopping MiB!

Re things that were forgotten ...

Why didn't Sun go back to the 70's with the rest of the candidates or is this proof she wasn't a candidate?

Why couldn't Ben and Widmore kill each other in earlier series' but could at the end ...?

Jacob's rules I would expect. Once jacob was dead, his rules didn't apply anymore.

So in the last scenes, Jack is seen moving thru the jungle and theres one scene that caught my eye, theres a trainer caught on one of the bamboo and we see it in the foreground....

My question is does anyone remember what that pertains to again? :D
