Hopefully she didn't suffer and went peacefully, I recall seeing her on so many tv shows growing up in the 70s & 80s. A talented lady who could sing and compose.
Ah this is really sad. I learned to play piano when I was little - all the usual classical stuff, but I remember in my teens finding the sheet music to Sugar Me - lots of pink as I recall! The opening chords were a bit of a stretch - literally, but it gave me a whole new interest again.
It seems to have been quite sudden. A friend of hers said on the radio that he had seen her recently and she looked well. Lynsey is part of my childhood memories and as well as her own singles I like Storm in a Teacup which she co-wrote, and both her version and The Fortunes are good.
oh, how very sad. i loved her songs and style. wont somebody dance with with me , was a favourite of mine.
lovely memories of her songs
Gone too soon, RIP Lynsey .
Great artist, but i am shocked that DS have not got this on their front page,
Sorry to hear the news and not that old.
I agree, it is disgraceful that there is no mention anywhere on the headline page of Digital Spy about Lynsey de Paul's sad passing. She was a very popular singer and songwriter during her time. I remember her well. My thoughts are with her family and friends during this sad time. Shame on you though, Digital Spy!

I remember as a child I thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world, like a human Barbie with all that incredible hair.
She was tiny and with her lovely hair she was really striking.
64 is no age to die.
Thank you for some happy memories.
Loved her music in general.
Another sad loss from my younger days.

"No, Honestly" and "Rock Bottom" are the songs I remember most from my childhood.
Echoing you Grouty
She was the first female songwriter to win an Ivor Novello award and I remember her appearances in the musical slot on The Two Ronnies in the 70s.

My faves were Getting a Drag (one of the first records I bought) and Rock Bottom.
They would have if it was Kim Kardashian, Cheryl Cole or Kerry Katona

never knew Lynsey and Sharon Osborne had a row
That's so depressing, true though
