You only have to look through old threads that get resurrected to see the sheer number of members that have been banned.
Surprising they have members left .
And you can't even tell someone that what they post is drivel without getting a temporary ban for being "offensive".
It borders on the ridiculous .
DS really is a forum for wusses and whingers .

I sometimes wonder why mods need the power trip.
Do they really think banning a member makes any difference?
They simply re-register and start all over again.

I could never understand why some people would take Moila so seriously and actually report her posts. :(

I mean, what for, for heaven's sake - having a whacky sense of humour? Just because they didn't get it. Why not simply click on another thread and get a life?

I miss Moila, cosmo, brooklynboy,& mathers. (even though we used to argue about drugs )

Yeah me too - brooklynboy  I didn't know.

It wasn't just Moila that made me laugh it was the posts that followed. Quality.:D

Cosmo was a typical Muslim basher so good riddance. I've seen Dirona baiting other posters on numerous occasions so hopefully they will learn from the ban.

Wow, so much bitterness. What exactly is the lesson you want him to learn from being banned from a forum?

You've already got a star. What more do you want?

It is a star isn't it? Not a starfish.

    A chocolate starfish.

Utter rot. Cosmo, was a decent poster for many years. Just because someone doesn't agree with your "politics" doesn't make him or her a bad person. I didn't agree with all Cosmo said, but in general, I didn't have a problem with him. I ignored the bits I didn't agree with.

If you only want to discuss things with people of your own political persuasion, then maybe you should find a specialist website. This site is open for all, be it left wing or right wing or apolitical.

That may be the case, but he was often rude, and was banned quite a few times. If he couldnt follow simple rules, and learn from his mistakes, despite the numerous bans, then thats his own problem.

Consistant, maybe. But decent? Not to those he regularly abused and insulted...

Sounds awful. You seem quite well informed.

Maybe you could give us some examples of his regular abuse of FM's.

Abuse and insults are deleted, when the poster gets banned, thankfully...

I totally agree. I don't understand people who only want to read people's posts with similar views to their own.

I mightn't agree with a lot of what is written, but that's not the point is it? Live and let live. Post and be damned I say!

What's the point of that? It's a discussion forum, not a nodding shop...

With that attitude I might even find some common ground with The Puzzler... though on second thoughts, I'd probably just end up ignoring him totally

I remember the first post I ever read of Trev (now banned and I've forgotten how his name was spelled!), I got a little prickly with his post and asked him a question about it...he disarmed me with his humor even tho I didn't agree with the politics. Same with Cosmo, a really nice guy and not 'in your face', with his views.

I lean far left politically but I must say the condescending and arrogant screeching from some on what is officially my side, on here, makes me want to veer right off center !

I agree, moila was hilarious, never did anything that offended me personally. Surely some of these serial complainers should be banned for lacking a sense of humour :(

Didn't realise brooklynboy was banned, shame...

Nah, he said a few things to me once, but rather than pretend faux indignance, I realised he was right and it gave me a good wake up call, I miss him.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd much prefer a robust, forthright discussion where people are free to air their (popular or unpopular) views, rather than the sanitised-but-safe boring version.
