Really Old Skool...instantly recognisable...and it still sends that magical chill and shiver down my spine and makes me smile like a child. I just love the music:
"There's a magical place, we're on our way there
With toys in their millions all under one roof
It's called Toys 'R' Us
Soon after bedtime when dark night time falls
Geoffrey and helpers stock up all the shelves
From ceiling to floor books, board games and bikes
Teddies, puppets and dolls, bats, space-ships and trikes
"There's millions", says Geoffrey, "all under one roof"
It's called Toys 'R' Us, Toys 'R' Us, Toys 'R' Us."

The modern ads they run the rest of the year are bloody awful
I seem to remember from a lot earlier than that. Goes to show if something isn't broke don't fix it
I've always wondered what that line was! I thought it sounded like "Millions of debris", which I knew couldn't be right! Thank you, OP, for putting me straight!
Me too, I remember it from the early 90s when (I believe) Toys R Us first came to England. I remember going to one in Yorkshire right when they first opened.
Love the ad. So nostalgic.
Me too!
You are not the only one, the first time I stepped in one I was 25 and I was actually disappointed as it looked pretty boring
But I really would have liked to have gone as a kid, all my friends used to go - but then again all my friends were spoilt, got toys (and whatever else they wanted) whenever they liked right up to Christmas when they would get even more. We only got toys at Christmas and Birthdays.
My exact sentiment!! Even now when I listen to it, it still sounds like "there's millions of debris all under one roof". Alas I too knew that can't be right though because why would they call their products debris (or broadcast their hygiene issues) not to mention that it is completely grammatically incorrect!
Me too!
i was just about to say that
Guilty.
So many wonderful toys
Lots of fun for girls and boys. Er....
Suitable for Jews and Goys
Months before they start to annoy
...I'll get me coat.
I think they have cleaned it up a little -
