  EE and T-Mobile sims are 100% interchangeable.
  
  Orange on the other hand... If the handset is more than 2 years old it'll need to be unlocked usually...

  Do Orange still charge? What would their stance be if you wanted to use an old Orange phone on "EE" given that they're the same company?

  They will unlock these for free, as long as the EE account number is provided in the notes
