Yes, but which version was shown in '92? ie the shorter theatrical release or the longer directors cut which was on last night?

If I remember correctly Betty Blue was screened on the ITV "through the night network" not long after ITV expanded into 24hr (through the night) broadcasting - I am sure it was a premiere on there late 1980s/early 1990s.

FrightFest season brings with it a bunch of Film4 premieres, excluding the first two, they're not horror.

    A Separation (Iran, 2011), Friday 8th August (Thurs night/Fri morn), 1.15am-3.45am
    A Better Life (2011), Tuesday 12th August, 7.05pm-9.00pm
Tucker and Dale v Evil (2010), Saturday 16th August, 10.55pm-12.40am
    Absentia (2011), Monday 18th August, 10.45pm-12.35am
    The Innkeepers (2011), Thursday 21st August, 10.55pm-12.50am
American Movie (1999), Friday 22nd August (Thurs night/Fri morn), 12.50am-3.05am - May not be a premiere, listed as one though
Zombieland (2010), Friday 22nd August, 9.00pm-10.45pm - They took way too long to bring this to TV.

On another note Channel 4 are showing Iron Man next week, whether this leads to them showing Iron Man 2, Thor and The First Avenger remains to be seen, high time they did though, moreso odd as they showed Iron Man quite early after it's release.

As has previously been discussed, there's a bit of a rights kerfuffle, so the following Marvel Cinematic Universe films could literally end up anywhere. We know they aren't on a group deal as ITV has The Incredible Hulk, and the following films in Phase One were originally distributed by Paramount (so perhaps C4, although I haven't seen any Paramount premières off them for a while), but have since been acquired by Disney (so either BBC, ITV or perhaps, but somewhat unlikely, Channel 5).

If the films are on a separate contract to the rest of Disney's output, Channel 4 is most likely, due to their purchase of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. (Although I don't know if they have the second season of M.A.O.S.)

Is this affected by Netflix having the rights to stream Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America and Avengers?

I know that Marvel and Netflix US have a deal so would this affect UK terrestrial TV rights as would Netflix UK have the rights to show these films before the UK terrestrial channels?

Theoretically Netflix's rights deals for films are the "Pay TV rights window" similar to that of Sky Movies, so it shouldn't affect a TV broadcast (it hasn't with Lionsgate's catalogue), but as I understand it, they acquire exclusive first run rights for TV shows, so that's probably why Breaking Bad hasn't appeared on Sky Atlantic or wherever.

Doubt it, Channel 4 showed Hunger Games which was exclusive to Netflix as opposed to Sky.

Thanks its so hard to keep up with who has the rights to which films!

I'm just wondering if we are ever going to get the terrestrial tv premiere of The Dark Knight before Batman Vs Superman is released in the cinema. Its March 2016 so there is hope!

As has previously been discussed (although that may have been another thread), I don't think we've seen any Warner Bros. films released during or after 2008, except the Harry Potter films, which are believed to be on a separate deal.

I think the reason ITV haven't played The Dark Knight out is because they don't have the rights...

It seems oddly quick for Heli, which only had it's UK release in May, and R100 didn't have a theatrical release in the UK...
