Hi, I've just bought a new tv and I'm looking at getting this:

http://www.ebuyer.com/290438-squaretrade-3-year-tv-warranty-plus-accident-protection-uk-lt0299n3a

Seems pretty good for £43. Is there anything that I should know though? Are squaretrade as good as they seem?

Also, it says accidental damage starts on day 1.. so as it's a 3 year warrenty, is accidental damage covered for the full 3 years? They say they take into account the first year from the manf.

Thanks.

Wouldn't "accidental damage" be covered by your home contents insurance, regardless of the age of the set?

Well yeah but won't cover malfunctions, and then you have to pay an excess, then lose your no claims bonus.

Would only ever claim on home insurance if it was a biggun.
