they both got demoted to the dance troupe (for reasons only know to the BBC) Darren accepted and Lilia didnt, the dance troupe didnt return for a second series and D&L werent invited back to be full time pros
However, Darren could get a job as a hod carrier, spend his spare time playing Australian Rules Football and walking his pitbulls, become lead singer of an AC/DC tribute band, eat nothing but Yorkie Bars and raw steak, and wear only leather goods fashioned from the skins of animals hunted with his bare hands and I still wouldn't entirely believe he was heterosexual.
