Mostly it's on threads when people say, 'Who does the best takeaway pizza' and someone randomly says 'I make my own, its' cheaper and faster'.

But...... I do think that on threads where a poster, for example, regrets the demise of their local takeaway, or feels that a takeaway cannot be replicated, it's not unhelpful to offer a recipe that is not difficult to follow and is tried and tested in terms of flavour.
I'd prefer posters offered a genuine, helpful response rather than scroll on for fear of being reprimanded or mocked.

Indeed! Most people on there have really poor and unbalanced diets.
