Perhaps he and Brendan used to fool around and Pa caught them? :o
It'd be a nice way to bring him into the show.

    Now there's a thought. It's possible, I guess. :o:(
I remember before the episode, when we were all so sure Ste would like him, and Doug would have to turn him down gently.

    :(

I remember exactly what I thought back then. When I first saw the spoiler, I thought, that's insane, it won't come from Doug, they'd be nuts. Then it kind of settled in my brain, and I got this horrified certainty that it would, and exactly what would happen when it did. Everyone on here was convinced Ste would make a pass, and I just knew it would be Doug's feels. And then it actually happened, and my heart sank to my boots. I have never so badly wanted to be wrong about anything. And nothing's changed for me, I still find them totally unbelievable. I've done some rewatching recently, and it makes me die inside. Jeez, what a shame.

But I'm damned if I'm letting it ruin Brendan and Ste and Walker for me.

    I doubt it.

    His face scares me. :(

Plus I never cared about Lynsey so I'm damned if I care about her brother nobody else cared to mention. ;)
He really scares me too :o He looks manic in that pic.
LOL, what if he's Chez's ex boyfriend? He surely looks like a psychopath (*coughcough* like Warren and Walker), so... ;)
Pa made him like this

I'm not finding Alan attractive either.

I think they have employed him, and his mad eyes, to replace my Walker, if only for a short time.

He hasn't even got silky boyband hair or an ugly jacket.

Don't try and buy me off like that HOs, I'm not that cheap.
He looks like an extremely ugly/cheap version of Wentworth Miller.

I am warning HOs now though.

    No love.

Seriously, they can be boyfriends when they were younger but if they even dare bring love into it.

    Okay.

    Thanks :o
It's just cuz you're obviously quite a lovely, close-knit thread and you all seemed to have moved on a bit from the Alan stuff this morning, so I didn't wanna just jump in and take the conversation back a few topics.

Ally, now that you've mentioned it, I think I also would prefer if Ruby was supposed to be Amy Farrah Fowler at a goth night... Not sure Ruby is cool enough for that idea though lol.

Oh LOL don't worry about that. The amount of times we go over and over the same thing, it's like groundhog day. ;)

In the best way, obviously.

ETA: His first episode is 22nd October.

NO ONE CAN REPLACE WALKER.

But yeah, I thought the same thing. And they can get lost. :p

It's strange, because I remember you saying afterwards that you'd had a bad feeling about it. I think you were one of the only people who saw what was coming. Psychic C&S.

But yeah, it hasn't ruined my enjoyment of Stendan - not these last few months anyway.

They share so much history, that they've never mentioned him.

    Ever. ;)

ETA: Oh no, you know what HOs are like, Duckmoo.

Brendan's first love, all of that shit. That's why he didn't know how to love cos he thought it was so wrong.

    Blah blah blah.

I'm quite liking Alan from what I've seen through stalking him on google ;)

He had a beard in one picture :o

He is very handsome, chiselled one might say.

Can he say what van in a way that still makes me laugh?

Can he kill Mick while telling him it's all for the greater good?

Can he shake his head and have a mohawk?

    No he can't.

    He is therefore rubbish. ;)

Even someone like Brendan would NEVER.

ETA: Tez, I'm sure you can endure him if he's only in four eps? ;) He'll be back to Ireland before you know it.
... and then Pa will come and no one will ever be happy again.

    Nope.

    Nope I can't.

Not if they do what I think they're going to do, I can't. :p

    Poor Eoghan :(

I like him already. Anyone who shares the same genes as Lynsey is my King

Yeah, I can't deal with any more Brendan/other men and them making Ste jealous, when they're not even acknowledging right now that the abuse and spiteful games and the controlling way Brendan's treated him and the risk going back is why Ste can't be with him. It's just not fair.

I long for the day when they'll start addressing the past between them again so Ste isn't like some sneaky smirking power tease playing with the two men in love with him .

He's there for four episiodes, right? If old flames do get reignited they're snuffed out brave and quickly. :p

And I really, really don't think the history he shared with Brendan is that. :o

Oh I don't think they'll get reignited or anything but I think that's what they're going to say it was.

I can't see why else they'd bring him now when Brendan's in the midst of changing and getting drama from Pa if it wasn't something to do with the changing side of his life.

If it's just about Lynsey, I'll actually eat a hat.

There are no amount of times you can say Que, Sera, Sera without sounding like a dick.

Unless you are Doris Day or Duckmoo.

Luckily you fall into one of these categories.

    You are obviously Doris Day.

    Don't do it again. :p
