The latest 3D Blu-ray from 3D Film Archive is a collection of shorts, stop motion, cartoons, trailers and test footage, some of which goes back to the 1920s.
Accumulated over a 30 year period, painstakingly restored and now viewable on Blu-ray 3D, this is a must for those who tire of today's insipid 2.5D offerings.
There's animation by Norman McLaren from the Canadian National Film Board, some of the world's least attractive strippers, useless comedians and even a bit of (very) soft porn from Francis Ford Coppola.
The trailers alone make you wonder why Universal and co. don't get their collective finger out and put their 50s 3D movies back into circulation.
There are also commentaries by the restorer and essays by various interested parties.
