The Emma Rigby is joining EE that has been coming out for years now. Eventually I asked who she was. An actress from HO (don't watch it) and why is she joining EE? Never did get an answer.

There were rumours that Kirkwood tried to cast her as the new Lucy Beale in 2011.

Ahh I see but they seemed to go on for ages before and after that happened. It just seemed everytime there was a new casting it was "Emma Rigby" and for the longest time I had no idea who she was. Besides isn't she a bit old to be Lucy?
The idea that Ian's next ex-wife is going to be PC Emma who delivered the bad news about Lucy.
As if in real life a woman like her would give Ian a second glance.
As likely as that is that he gets married to Malachy (the other copper).
Kirkwood isn't at EE anymore - what is it with the Hollyoaks rejects - first Sam Owen when Janine left and now Malachy). Not to mention Jamie Lomas (who'll be gone soon, thank the lord).
I think it's time we had a non-EE obsession to balance things out ...
I never understood the Brendan Brady/Emmet J Scanlan fixation on this forum. Don't get me wrong, good character and good actor (by soap standards), but nothing really special that justified all the constant praise. Some people acted like he was the third coming of Dirty Den with the acting talents of Al Pacino .
David is Cindy Jr's real dad (only if Cindy sr had the gestation period of an elephant ;-) )
What are some of the other theories/fixations which have been bandied about round here?
I think they definitely were going to go down that road at one stage but, for whatever reason, chickened out. Maybe some of the cast (Jo Joyner?) didn't like the idea of it? Or they thought it was just too extreme with the incest angle. I would have gone with that storyline if I'd been in charge. At the very least it would have given a reason for Lauren/Joey to happen. It would have been more dramatic than what we ended up with.
My weird theory is that someday a 'hardman' or criminal will enter Albert Square - terrorise all the residents - and then not inexplicably shit himself as soon as Philth waddles into view.

"Ben is going to be Johnny Carter's boyfriend"
Erm, no.
I don't understand the love for Cora and Kim, they're secondary characters...
You're not allowed to love secondary characters?
They have feelings too.

Err...
I think she would have been good at that.

:D:D Brilliant.

*Gets my coat*
I like Johnny and I think Sam's a good actor. I agree with the fm who said he sometimes looks like he has just let out a fart.

Goodness me, that's clearly a joke.
And when people started taking it seriously they persisted with the joke to take the piss.
No one's being serious.
That Cora is Sharon's biological mother.
David is Lola's father.
WTF - bizarre, everyone doesn't have to be automatically related - who comes up with these ideas and sees SL potential down these roads?
Sounds more like Hollyoaks style of storytelling lol.
Ok right lol - see what you mean - thanks for clarifying.
Far fetched I know.
woah!! Careful now. Down with this sort of thing.
Father Ted.
I would just love Bishop Brennan to come and kick Philths arse!
