Strictly gets better ratings than DW and it's live. They're of course going to build their schedule around it. Before Strictly would be far too early.

I don't get the hype for Great British Bakeoff, personally, but nearly everyone I know watches it. Each to their own.

So do I! :( I can remember when The Vampires of Venice during Series 5, was shown at 6.10pm one Saturday.

That was in the Spring though, not Fall (as the Americans would say).

SCD has 15 celebrities in it at the moment, this week they split it over two shows, but no live voting, there is live voting with 15 celebrities next week, all perform on one show.

    Hence its two hours long.

As celebrities leave SCD gets shorter.

As you haven't specified a genre...of the ones that are currently being broadcast (besides Who, of course), Mock the Week, Hunted, Gogglebox, Only Connect and as it's starting on Monday, the new Danger Mouse!:D (See separate thread, if there isn't one- I'm starting it!)
Gogglebox has only done DW on the 50th Anniversary, so I would like to see what they make of Mr Capaldi...

Incidentally, they've cancelled a Bakeoff repeat tomorrow in favour of a Doctor Who one!:)

Has New Who ever been on at the same time on two consecutive weeks? It's a drinking game in our house; down your drink when the Announcer tells us it's on at a completely different time again next week.

The BBC don't make it easy for people to ritually watch one of their flagship shows, do they?

And I bet most viewers missed it and tuned in on Sunday for it instead, because the EPGs failed to update and the printed listings went to press before the schedule was changed.
