    I like it. It has a slight Sopranos vibe but less gritty and without the mafia

    Rebotting this thread.

    No its an American version of the Australian Film, its a very good show and it has been renewed for Season 2.

    Ellen Barkin is perfect casting as Janine 'Smurf' Cody the Matriarch of this California based Family.

    Ok.

    Baz & J are the best looking Guys in the show but i also hope they explore Deren's sexuality more.

    It's a really good show...I didn't realise Craig and J are english and Baz was born in London....second has been commissioned

    I have just have to say Ellen Barkin is brilliant casting as Smurf.

    Watching Episode 8 and J asks Baz if he is his Father.

    I think its pretty clear that Baz is J's Father.

    Finished Season 1 and looking foward to Season 2 so....

    Smurf is one tough cookie
    Pope is a Psycho
    Deren needs to come out to Smurf
    J has shown that blood is thicker than water and was ultimately loyal to Smurf and his Uncles.

    Is anyone keeping up with animal kingdom?

    Things are a little slower this season, I'm putting it down to them having an extra 3 episodes to fill.

    Really enjoying it still, however a niggling voice in my head is telling me there's not enough hype about it to make season 3 a certainty. If it's not renewed I'll be gutted, it's a strong show and has some great potential.

    Three episodes into season 2
    Not loving season 2 so far. It feels as if it is going through the motions with no real plot in sight. I hope it improves

    It did get off to a very slow start, took a while to get back into its stride. The first few episodes to me really felt like the first few weeks after the summer holidays at school when no one really knows wtf they're doing yet. Stick with it though, I think it picks up the pace well.

    YAY! Awesome News :D! Another viewer here, having only started watching it about a month ago, love it and the cast, loving S2. Overall, the best new find for me this year ;)

    Quite funny reading these comments now, as it's in it's 5th season, and a 6th (and final) season already confirmed. :)
