I was listening to Swansea Sound this morning & notice they have new jingles (into the news , weather etc). Notice also the jingles go ."..The Greatest Hits of all time......Swansea Sound." I always thought 'The greatest hits of all time" was Gold Radio's jingle line!!!

Signal 2 and Pulse 2 (from the same group as Swansea Sound) have used that line for a few years as well.
The new jingles are on Signal 2 as well, so presumably Pulse 2 will have them too.

I've tuned into Pulse 2 but they still seem to be using sweepers. (I tuned into Swansea Sound at 12 and heard an old resung Wave 105 jingle although that was the beginning of a feature.)
Yeah, I knew I'd heard that news jingle before - Capital Gold not Gold, although didn't Gold use it for the top of the hour when it first started, or did I imagine that?

This refers to a different station. The Ofcom decision concerned Bay Radio not Swansea Sound.
This radio station seems to have had more format/name changes than I've had hot dinners!!
I used to enjoy it when it launched as Swansea Bay Radio....but I did feel it was targeting the same audience as Swansea Sound (so would it survive...& as it was on FM compared to Swansea Sounds AM ..it should have!!). Then it started going downhill when it changed it's name to Bay Radio ( & was more automatied)...then a bad step was to then change it's format completely to all 80's tracks & renaming (again) to Nation 80's...with hardly or no presenters. Few months later another name change to Nation Hits ...but I do notice they now have presenters back on. Wonder when the next change will take place?
Oops apologies.
Bay Radio, currently broadcasting as Nation Hits, is part of Town & Country Broadcasting, and is hubbed with other sister stations at Neath, including Nation Radio.
Swansea Sound is the 'other half' of The Wave, both of which are part of UTV Media (which owns TalkSport, Signal Radios 1 & 2, The Pulse, plus lots of smaller stations around northern England).
Is it just this show, or is all the output this way?
