The Dark Crystal was one of the few fantasy films from that era I just couldn't get into. I remember it being very slow paced, but I've always been meaning to give it another go so I may well like it after all.

I so miss the days when you'd watch a fantasy movie and wonder how on earth they made it. Now everything is just soulless CGI. :(

This is going to be one of those marathon threads that get so long that eventually nobody can be bothered to read anything between the first and last pages :p.

    TV Shows:

    One Foot in the Grave

All Creatures Great and Small (the original run)

    Dads Army

    Doc Martin.

I guess it's more of an 'acquired taste' than Labyrinth and I certainly couldn't watch it too often. Mainly because the Garthim freak me out......:o er...

It's a stunning film visually, more than anything else.
